1969 Jaguar E-Type series 2 , 2

E-Type 4. 2. series 2 . 2+2 coupe 1969

we have brought this E type in from the United States . THE CAR NOW  HAS A 12 MONTH NO ADVISORY MOT AND THE V5 HAS BEEN APPLIED FOR . we have been told by DVLA that the V5 should be here within 2 weeks with age related uk plates (we applied for the V5 over a week ago so it should be here by auction end )

the engine sounds and runs great . no knocks or rattles and starts on the button every time . the owner tells me it was his father's car . who has now sadly passed away . his father had owned it for years and only used it on a Sunday (just to stretch its legs apparently) the gears change up and down smoothly as they should . the car has 84. 51 miles on the clock  and from speaking to the owner . as above his father had owned it for a number of years . we have no reason to believe this mileage is not correct

The vehicle has upgraded all round Spax adjustable Gas suspension shocks which aids handling of the vehicle

It also has a black leather Nardi steering wheel

The paint work is in good condition but there are some small blisters on the bonnet grill and a couple of blemishes that could easily be touched up . s shown in pictures

The underside of vehicle has now been treated to protect it from the UK weather

Apart from one dent in the front badge bar the bright work is in excellent condition as are the wheels. no pitting . ust etc

The inside is original and with a bit of leather feed would bring it up nicely . here is how ever a 3 inch split  to the dash board hidden in the corner . the head lining is in excellent order

All in all this is a very mechanically and bodily sound conditioned E-Type . t would not take much to bring this car up to a very high standard indeed . nce purchased . insure and drive away
