1970 Challenger RT SE. U-code car (1 of 733 made) painted in original FY4 gold. 68. 21 miles (believe to be accurate).

Car was lightly restored around 2000 and now shows some wear. a nice driver quality car. not a show car. Car is very solid. one of the best I've seen in a long time. nice floors. nice frame rails. and it appears to have all it's original sheet metal.  There is some plastic in the bottom of the fenders and bottom of the quarters. but after 13 years it still looks fine.   There is a small patch in the trunk that is hardly noticeable. The bumpers are new. the grille is nice. the headlight bezels could stand replacing. and the rear tail light bezels look original with light pitting. The SE rear trim panel is decent. but could also stand replacing. The dashpad is great and the seats are nice with a minor scuff mark on the passenger side. Car came with AM/8-track (doesn't work) and the vinyl top looks nice. All the gages work (except the clock).

Engine is not original (E-code 440) but runs very strong. with purple shaft cam. CH4B intake. Holley 650 DP. Hooker headers. and Flowmasters. Trans was rebuilt and shifts fine. 3. 55 sure grip rear. manual drum brakes (new) and power steering all work fine. The original radiator is gone. but the aluminum one works great. car does not overheat in traffic. The rallye wheels are 15x7 in front and 15x8 in rear. tires have plenty of tread left.

Issues. the clock and radio do not work. minor scuff mark on passenger seat. car wonders a bit (probably a front end alignment). The headers are rusty (need to be removed and ceramic coated). Some of the trim is worn/scratched as mentioned above. Chrome exhaust tips are old. The lights in the overhead console do not work (harness may be unplugged). Stain on firewall where some brake fluid was spilled.

The car runs good and looks good. but inspection is always encouraged as pictures can never replace first hand experience.

It is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. thanks.
