My description is very extensive and long and there are many photos but please take the time to look over everything if you are truly interested. This particular Studebaker was first purchased on November 18th of 1940 in No Platte. Nebraska. It's hard to read the writing to tell what her name is. It was owned by her until her death. At some point it was purchased by Melvin J. Masure of Culbertson Nebraska. In April of 1983 it was restored (amount of work done is unknown) by Mels Auto Restoration and then in May of that same year it was entered in the first annual Great American Race spanning from Buena Park. CA to Indy. I was told that Tony Curtis stopped by the car in CA and commented on how nice it was. An electric fuel pump. turn signals. and an extra gas tank were installed for the race and both still work. The stickers are still present on the doors and along with the plaque on the grill there is also another plaque from when the car went through Arizona. There are some videos on youtube where it can be seen in the background. It made it to St Louis where they got lost and had to drop out. It was purchased in 1985 by Lee Williamson of Trenton Nebraska. Then it was purchased by Charles Link of Trenton and owned by him until he passed which it was then handed down to his daughter Lorene Link and she owned it until a few months ago when I bought it. I'm selling to fund another vehicle.

Misc. receipts of work done on the car are included as well as random paperwork of sorts. Also. the original keys. owners manual. shop manual. spare tire. and lug wrench are included.

Also. a small box of misc parts is included. This is definitely a driver. There are very few miles on the original engine. It starts up quickly and easily and runs very. very smooth. All vitals (temp. oil. etc. ) are as should be. Turn signals. headlights (hi and low beam as well as indicator on speedo). parking lights and parking brake. tail lights and license plate light. interior light. all dash gauges (fuel. temp. etc. ). dash lights and dimmer. vac wipers (new blades). mechanical and electric fuel pump. locks (keyed and handle). radio. horn. heater/defroster/climatizer. window cranks. seat adjustment. free wheeling/conventional transmission knob and feature itself. hood release. and light switch all work as should. The battery is new. Doors. hood. side vents. and trunk all open and close smoothly and tight. no sagging. Some bubbling in glass in areas but overall in excellent shape. The chrome still shines up nice. though it is showing age in spots. The paint shows aging and is peeling/flaking in a few areas but still shines up nice. Peeling on roof but no rust. Floors are extremely clean and solid. Just look at the underbody shots. That's all just paint and surface rust under there. Both grills have slight damage (some broken bars). but still display well. Only a couple small spots of rust-through overall (trunk and bottom of rear passenger door). Weather seals are old but seem to hold up decently. Interior is quite clean and in great shape with some staining. Nothing dried out or cracking. Transmission shifts smoothly (3 speed on the column). Brakes work good. No major leaks in driveline that I can see. No loss of coolant or oil burning. Wiring seems in good shape-some new. some original. The two extra switches on dash are for the radio on/off and electric fuel pump. Gets good mileage and drives smooth. I have taken it on the highway before and gotten it up to 70 mph. Definitely can keep up with traffic. Was taken on a 200 mile round trip shortly before I got it. Tires have just over a 1000 miles on them. Steering is smooth with little play.
