Not too many ragtops made but only a handful were equipped like this one. She is one of a few SPRINT models having a Straight Six 3. 8L Single Overhead Cam with a Factory 4BL Carburetor. These OHC6 Sprint Firebirds had a hotter cam and put out 215 horse power. She scoots down the street. This Pontiac has her factory Bulge Hood. Sprint Emblems. 2-Speed Automatic on the Floor. Power Steering. Center Console. Bucket Seats. Non-Power Folding Convertible Top. Factory AM Push Button Radio. . . . . and more.
Super rare muscle car without the big muscle. She is a great driver. She drives out and handles well. Fresh Paint (2 years). Rebuilt engine with less than 1000 miles on it. new suspension. exhaust. upgraded front breaks to disk so it stops like a new car. and many other items to list over the last few years. A brand new Edellbrock 4 Barrel is on her but don't worry the original Quadrajet goes with the Pontiac.
She also comes with her original broadcast sheet. VIN tabs. original paperwork. receipts and more. These first generation Firebirds were part of John Deloreans madness and part of that pony car crowd he was always chasing down. The first generation Firebirds are different than the rest but the first year is different than those. This first year SPRINT is extremely rare and can be enjoyed today.
You can now own a piece of Detroit Motoring History and have a vintage automobile that will appreciation rather than guaranteed depreciation.
Everything works on the car. no Oil leaks or smoke from engine.
Roof is in very good shape with only one small tear on the inside that does not effect al all (see pic)
