Unfinished aluminum Shelby cobra CSX4023 427 body 42gal fuel cell. carpet. nbsp;wide flares. custom one off wheels. nbsp;Upgraded brakes. custom roll bar and more. Built in 1997 and never completed one of the earliest cars the 23rd car built in the 4000 series.  To purchase an unpainted aluminum Cobra body and chassis with seat's. dash. wiring. and all the parts to put it together minus motor and transmission at Shelby Automoblies would cost you 160. 00+ . Then you have to purchase the motor and tranny at about 30 to 40 thousand or more depending on what you are looking for. so for about 200. 00 you have an unbuilt roller from Shelby but Shelby does not build there cars anymore Kirkham builds the cars now so you will not have an original Shelby. This car is an original Shelby It is stamped in all the correct places. It has had some extensive time put into it after the car came back from Shelby. The time was spent on the chassis welds they were sanded down and filled so they can not be seen and then the chassis was repainted.  The chassis was built at Shelby America In March 1997 with a fiber glass body that body was sold and then they built a aluminum body. The car is still on the MSO from Carroll Shelby signed by Carroll himself this mean's you will be the first owner of this car. As of now the car is apart because we were going to repaint it . The body and all the parts to build the car are included with the motor or tranny.  The engine is a fuel injected 427 680 HP and a 6 speed tremac and 413 gear's (631/603/8325) The engine was 65000+ to build. Ernie Elliot motor's are the strongest engine's  I have ever had and I have 6 of them and I beat them to death and can not break them. These guy's from nascar spend million's on R+D just to find an extra two horsepower. nbsp; Not saying other builder's can't make the same power at a cheaper cost but with the million's spend by nascar engine builder's these motor's turn almost ten thousand RPM and don't break in a street car.
