First off. this car has a later model engine and overdrive transmission. If you are looking for numbers matching then this car is not for you!

Now. for those still interested. I'll describe the car.

I bought the car last year for my oldest son. However. he decided that he liked my BMW 530i better so there's your proof that the modern generation are spoiled and have no taste! (Just kidding. I think)

The car had a bunch of work done just before I bought it. The car is Grampian Gray (although I think the shade is a little off) and has a later model engine and overdrive transmission. I'll go over each aspect of the car.

Drivetrain: The engine is from a later model car and runs great. Excellent oil pressure and runs cool. No weird noises or issues with only a very small amount of the typical British car oil leak. The transmission shifts cleanly with no synchromesh issues. The overdrive engages cleanly and quickly. When I got the car it was leaking around the fuel tank sender. I replaced the sender and the gasket and it's dry now. No stories at all on the drivetrain or fuel system of this car!

Suspension: When I bought the car I did not like how it sat. The rear leaf springs were original and sagged. I installed new Moss leaf springs with new bushings in the rear. The car sits properly now and rides very well. The shocks are good and the steering is very tight. The front suspension appears to have new polyurethane bushings.  Once again. no issues here.

Brakes/Hydraulics: The car had a new brake and clutch master installed before I bought it. Whoever did it didn't know how to bleed the systems and the car had no brakes and no clutch when I got it in. I properly bled the brakes and clutch and now both are excellent. The brakes stop straight and true with a firm pedal. The parking brake is missing some teeth on the pawls and only engage at the top end of the pull. I have a nice used parking brake I will include that needs to be installed

Exterior: The paint is Grampian Gray and is a fairly rare color. The paint is decent with some orange peel and a few small runs. Overall. it's very presentable and you wont be ashamed to be seen in it a show or on the road. Most (if not all) the rubber seals are new. The rear deck hatch could stand some readjustment. It closes fine; however. it's high on one side. There a couple of very small bubbles on the bonnet. I don't think they are rust. they look like paint flaws. I haven't messed with them to find out and don't plan to. Under the car looks very clean with new floor pans installed a couple of years ago.

Interior: Super nice. The dash is excellent as is the headliner. You seldom see them this clean. The interior is a couple years old and the door panels and carpet look new. The seats are very comfortable. The steering wheel is excellent and is the correct banjo style. The pretty much useless back seat was removed and replaced with a very nice folding platform (see pictures. It does fold up to provide access to the battery). This platform is very useful for running to the grocery or hardware store. The trunk is excellent and includes the jack and jack bag.

Wheels/Tires: The wire wheels are new as are the Michelin tires. This is almost $2000 in tires and wheels. I just had all the tubes replaced and the wheels balanced at Hendrix Wire Wheel earlier this year at a cost of over $600.

Electrical: Believe it or not. everything works! Lights. horn. wipers. etc. Nothing to report.

In summary. this a great car that can be driven cross country. It's not perfect. But. even though it's pushing 50 years old. the car is a solid comfortable performer that is a great entry level car for someone new to the world of LBC's (Little British cars)
