Fantastic and largely original 1973 DeTomaso Pantera. If you are reading this. then you are likely already familiar with the story and history of DeTomaso and his wonderful creation. the Pantera. This Pantera is in outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has 53. 00 original miles and was purchase by me 6 years ago. At that time. I took the car to one of the US's most recognized experts in Panteras. Mr. Leslie Gray who is the current president of the Pantera Owners Club. who performed a comprehensive restoration of the cars mechanical systems to the tune of $30. 00.

The highlights of that restoration include the following; completely rebuilt ZF transmission with all new gears. syncros and new clutch. Completely replaced suspension bushings and added new Koni adjustable shocks at all four wheels. Replaced with new electronic ignition. New intake manifold and Deamonator Carburetor. New Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifold and mufflers.   Completely new cooling system with upgraded electric fans. temperature relays. piping and hoses and newly cored radiator. All new brake lines and hoses. new racing brake pads and rebuilt brake and clutch masters cylinders. All new Avon tyres all around. Original Campy magnesium wheels. New leather interior seat plus a lot more.

This was a very comprehensive mechanical restoration after which. the car has driving amazingly!! Since the completion of the restoration. the car has been driven about 5. 00 miles in everything form 110 degree days to all kinds of terrain. The car performs flawlessly!

During the annual Pantera Club meeting that took place in Phoenix earlier this year. the car spent two days on the local track where it chewed up all the other stock machines including Cobras and a few mustangs. On the hottest of Phoenix days the engine runs dead on at 180 degrees regardless of the engine load.

The car was repainted immediately prior to my purchasing in 2008 and is in outstanding condition. This car could be jumped in and driven from one coast to the other and back again with out a care in the world. It is a great track car and a great sunday driver too!

I have copies of all the receipts of the work that has been done to the car under my ownership. Other than the upgraded intake and exhaust systems. the car is very very original in its condition and appearance.

I am of mixed feelings at the prospect of parting with it as it has been such a fun and enjoyable car to own and drive. but I need room in my garage.
