1951 Pontiac Chieftian Custom
I purchased the vehicle in Feb 2017 with the desire to enjoy something different and slowly bring it up to a better standard over time.
But life doesn't always work out as planned and some personal circumstances have risen over the last month. So unfortunately. I have to move the vehicle on.
I'm not looking to make money on the car and it does have some serious potential to improve or simply drive as is.

It has NSW rego expiring 24/9/2017. The car is not engineered for NSW. I can go through with you over the phone want I know needs to be undertaken to have it engineered.

The following are the spec's advised to me by the previous seller:

RHD. Built at the Holden factory in South Aust. VIN is number 189! Full AccuAir airbag system by Mex's Garage new 350 Chev (mild) with Gilmer Belt Drive (approx 5000kms only)  Turbo 400 with on 5000km on it.  15” Genie rims with radial whitewalls Full re-trimmed interior. custom gauge cluster with copper surround.   Pearlcraft steering wheel Roof chopped with correctly sectioned roof to give correct lines (performed by Laurie  Starling of  the Chop Shop)  Shaved door handles  Electric Door Poppers  extended and frenched head lights. frenched tail lights  real bf goodrich silvertown white walls  custom 4 link suspension  custom aluminium radiator  mooneyes dash cluster and custom copper surround

Issues:

Although it's a custom car with plenty of money spent. it's not "show quality" in certain areas (inspection will provide transparency forserious buyers)

Doors require realignment. I have aligned 3 of the 4 doors now.   Needs new glass all round.   Missing windscreen wipers.   Missing right hand front shock absorber and mounting point.

Since the plan was to slowly make improvements to the car. I've dropped the car straight to my mechanic to commence work on the following over the next few weeks:

Fuel tank leaking from perished rubber (FIXED). Fuel gauge isn't working. I have new sender   unit and float – tank needs to be removed to install.   Speedo isn't working. It's an electronic speedo but not set up as yet.   Fix the Brake light circuits (FIXED)  Install new battery (INSTALLED)  Right front shock replacement  alignment of Gilmer drive system (FIXED)   Sump has a small crack causing a small oil leak.

The Pontiac certainly looks cool and has a presence on the road. Looks even better when parked and dropped on its sills. The car does drive well with the driveline combo it has. It's a great cruiser and would suit weddings/events as well.

If you want to know more about the car. private msg me and I will give you my number to call. Will arrange for any potential buyers to view the car as well. Might be able to provide access to a hoist whilst the car is at the mechanics in Forestville.

As mentioned. I'm not looking to make any money out of the sale. so. I'm looking for reasonable offers around $40. 00.
It's ideally suited to someone who wants something cool and unique!

Car is listed elsewhere so auction will be ended if sold.
