It is time to part with my 1969 MGB roadster. For the past few years it has spent most of it's time covered and tucked safely in my garage. with at most 300 miles per year added to the odometer. which currently reads about 98. 00 miles. I have owned this car for the past 12 years. The previous owner had the car stripped and repainted and the interior reupholstered. In the years I've owned the car. I've continued to improve it having done the following work:

• New rear poly bushings…• New gas tank…• Rebuilt rear lever arm shocks…• Rebuilt SU fuel pump converted to solid state…• New Sunbrella/Stayfast top from Moss Motors…• New custom Mike Lempert rosewood steering wheel…• New front poly bushings…• Front suspension parts powdercoated…• Rebuilt front lever arm shocks…• New Brembo brake rotors…• Rebuilt front brake calipers…• Uprated front sway bar…• New front wheel bearings and races…  Hidden Battery cutoff switch. • New relays for headlights and horn…• New K&N air filters…• Recurved Lucas distributor with Pertronix electronic ignition…• New spark plug wires…• Polished dashpots on SU carbs…• New master cylinder…• New fuse box…• New toggle switches…• New accelerator cable…• Converted to single 12v battery…The car starts up readily. does not smoke. has good compression across all four cylinders (130. 130. 130. 125) and has always been reliable on the road. It does leak a drop or two from the rear main seal. but I feel that's part of the British “charm”. and until the need to rebuild the engine. I see no reason to pull it. Even before all the upgrades listed above. this car has been a two time People's Choice Award winner at the All British Field Meet in Portland. Oregon. I also have a full tonneau cover for protection with the top stowed. This is arguably one of the nicest MGBs in Oregon.
