1953 Hudson Hornet Hollywood 2 door hardtop. 308 cubic inch six cylinder engine with the optional Twin-H-Power dual carburetor induction. Sold with a bill of sale.

With the lowest center of gravity of any American production car of the time. they were dubbed the “step-down” Hudson's because. when entering. one stepped down into them. rather than up. They embodied Hudson's mono-built body-and-frame construction. had the engine and seats more forward (the rear seat was ahead of the rear wheels). and the floor level was nearly as low as the bottom of the main frame side rails (permitting seats to be based low and between the rails). This gave them great handling compared to other makes.

In 1953 Hudson offered a dual-carburetor dual-manifold induction system called Twin-H-Power as an option for the Hornet 308 cubic inch six cylinder engine. This was said to deliver a precisely uniform measure of highly vaporized fuel-air mix to each cylinder. increasing engine efficiency and power. This was also used on the 7X motors used in NASCAR and AAA stock car races that proved so hard to beat. Backed by Hudson. Hornet's and there drivers piled up a fantastic stack of achievements. These invincible cars dominated the tracks in a racing rampage that added pages of records to the NASCAR and AAA books.

This airy two door hardtop was the next best thing to a convertible. The advanced engineering. racing heritage and sleek lines makes for a car that still looks and drives as great today as it did in 1953.
