This truck went through a body off re-spray a couple of owners ago but could be improved upon now to make good. The car has just flown through it's MOT a couple of weeks ago with only a slightly binding new rear brake which seems to have improved in the miles since. probably just bedding in.

The engine (Oldsmobile 403(Trans Am 6. 6)) runs very well with the gearbox changing well when required. The first gear is set to hang on a little longer to assist in acceleration and afterwards you hardly notice the change into top. there is a B&M shifter and a new shift improve kit to be fitted if needed. The engine has had a recent oil change. new battery and new HT leads. I've not got round to spark plugs yet though.

The dash has been re-engineered with new gauges. a retro look CD/USB player and electric windows. the driver's window needs a slight adjustment. A lot of old unnecessary wiring was removed when the dash was apart. a hidden battery isolate switch has been added for security and assist with longerm storage if required.

Full carpets have been fitted to insulate and sound proof from the bare cab the truck had when I bought it.

Not so good bits:

The rear window has recently received the loving attention of a nice youth that thought rocks would look nice through my window. I've acquired a replacement but a new seal is required. the original seal is 40 years old and is not really up to it now. The glass has been treated with security film so any future youth attention will be averted. spare film left over for side windows if required.

The fuel tank sender unit requires re-calibrating with an adjustable resistor  (not supplied) as all new after market gauges have been installed. there is a brand new matched fuel sender unit ready to fit if you'd prefer. The truck comes with a spare windscreen as the current one is starting to de-laminate at the edges and spoils the look of the truck.

There are some spares with the truck which will be included in the sale. there is another dash. radiator grill. side vent windows (hens teeth I'm told). the old mechanical window winders and other bits and bobs.

There is also a partially completed tonneau for the bed. only requires the HGV grade tarp nailed to the wooden frame. I found a workshop manual and owners handbook that will go with the vehicle.

My plan was to also paint the exhaust headers in orange to match the cam covers and air cleaner cover. this paint is hidden somewhere in my garage but will be given with the sale.

Dixie air horns are also fitted but requires the wiring finishing off. I'll try and complete this prior to collection.
