1968 Pontiac GTO

Up for auction is a 1968 GTO. This is a real GTO. As you can see. this is a project car that will need some work and reassembely. but theres a whole lot of great parts to get it going.
It is a project that was started. parts amassed. and it just never got completed. it has just been sitting there waiting to be finished.
Motor is a numbers matching Pontiac 462ci stroker motor with aluminum edelbrock heads and intake. Has an Eagle crank and rods. SRP flat top pistons. Comp Cams Xtreme energy hydraulic roller cam. canton oil pan. I was told the horsepower estimate for this motor is 550hp and 550ft lbs torque. ($8800)
Trans is a TH400. it was rebuilt with a reverse manual valve body and trans brake. ($1500)
TCI super street fighter torque converter. ($513)
Pro series XE Holley carburetor. ($800)
HVH super sucker carb spacer ($134)  March serpentine pulleys. ($600)
Hooker super comp ceramic coated headers/collectors ($852/$41)
Pypes sga14 3" x pipe exhaust system with race pro mufflers. ($715)
Be cool aluminum radiator kit including dual electric fans. nbsp;80008. ($1200)
SC&C stage II upper control arms and ball joints. ($559)
Currietrac rear lower control arms. ($224)
Edelbrock adjustable upper rear control arms. ($200+ couldnt find a price for these)
Moser 12 bolt complete rear with eaton posi 33 spline. bolt in axles. aluminum stud girdle. ($2500)
Disc brakes in the front and rear. ($700? cant recall the kit)
Stainless steel parking brake kit from inline tube ($189)

And im not even bothering to list the bags of hardware and asorted other bits like bolts & bushings. line lock etc. the cost of all these parts is easily looked up. I know I'll never recoup what i have into it so far. but as you can see. theres over 20k worth of parts alone listed there not even including the car.
The body is resting on the frame. but it is not bolted down. The entire front clip is off the car. but it is all there. hood. bumpers. fenders.
The chassis of the car is clean. it was stripped and painted. as was the floorpans. the trunk pan needs replacing. The quarters are solid. fenders look clean. decent sized dent on the passenger side quarter. shouldnt be an issue to push out. Drivers side bottom of the cowl has some rust. it will need patching.  The panel between the rear glass and decklid has some rust.  Theres a little rust around the windows. some rust on the edges of the hood.  It'll definitely need bodywork. but it isnt a rot bucket. ive been looking at way worse cars listed here. nbsp;its a damn solid car. The entire car is filthy and dusty. There is superfical surface rust on some of the finished surfaces.  interior is old and dirty. but its all there

I have included a picture of the car before it was taken apart to show the body panels. theyre all still with the car. but off and in the rafters of the garage.
