Yes!
This car is rolling sculpture and one of what I believe to be the sexiest car ever made.

So many 100s have been modified to “M” specs. and partially modified with side exhaust or fender vents or v8s or whatever… this car has no Lemans pretensions… it's just a clean. solid and stock Healey 100. and the pure simplicity without fins. vents or leather straps is part of the fantastic appeal.

This is an early BN1. so we also have no tail light reflector pods on the rear deck. for a cleaner rear end. These pods were added in about August 1954. so this car was built prior.

For me the clean lines are a huge attraction so that the pure form of the car can shine through.  And of course. these non-M cars can be purchased for a whole lot less! With a form like this. this car has to appreciate in the coming years. Here's a great investment that is sure to appreciate while providing a lot of fun!

Come for a ride with the windshield folded down!

This car has a new water pump and fuel pump. Fuel tank has been removed and cleaned. Brakes have been serviced and are in good order. Overdrive works great. The car has a rare correct original 3 speed shift knob. If you are unfamiliar. BN1s have a rare three speed shift pattern. that originated as a column shifter on the Austin Atlantic A90. and was subsequently used as a side tunnel mounted shifter on the BN1. The result is a less than conventional three speed H pattern. with first in the usual location of fourth gear! It's fun. and one of the novelties of this particular big healey. If you are unfamiliar. you can see the shift pattern by watching me drive the car in the video above.
A nice benefit of this gearbox is synchronizers on all three gears (unlike the non synchro first gears common during the period). with electric overdrive available on second and third. Zero-60 is about 11 seconds. Good fun!
The engine is strong and the car drives beautifully. The tires are older and a bit flat spotted from storage. I would replace them.
Paint is a nice older lacquer job. and shines very well. There is some crazing on the rear deck that is very hard to photograph. There is also one spot of crazing down low on one dog leg. very small. but I want to make sure you know this is not a new paint job. although the car is stunning. turns heads everywhere. and still looks like a million bucks.

Interior is very nice. with no signs of wear. Top is excellent. engine is very clean and runs great. with no smoke. great oil pressure.
This is an unmolested car. It's straight and solid. The underside is excellent. It's all extremely solid. Floors are excellent. Outriggers are excellent. Trunk floor is solid.
I have a short list of cars I think are great investments. These two seat Healey 100s are at the top of my list. When you consider the pure curvaceous form. the fold down windshield. the eccentric grill shape. the torquey grunt of these big four cylinder engines. there is a lot to love. a lot that is rare and interesting. and all of it makes a classic that is sure to appreciate.
Feel free to call with questions. 203 561 692nine. I reserve the right to end the auction early. as the car is offered for sale on our website.
