Oakland Motor Car Company was founded in 1907. They specialized in fine coach building and engines. The company eventually became Pontiac Motors in 1926. The Pontiac name brought more recognition and they soon dropped the Oakland name. The 302 model was the first V8 engine Pontiac offered. This 302 Oakland is painted in a brilliant Green with a clear coat. All chrome was redone and shines as it did when it came off the assembly line. The flathead V8 engine sounds great through the dual exhaust pipes that lets everyone know that is no ordinary V8 engine. The 3-speed manual transmission shifts smooth through the gear. The interior is period correct and is a great representation of craftsmanship from the 1930’s. This 1932 Pontiac 302 Oakland would be a wonderful addition to and car collectors garage.
