VW Split Screen Panel Van 1959 - Coffee Van

here we have a fantastic opportunity to purchase a unique business vehicle. Our beautiful vw was originally supplied to California where it spent most its life until being imported to the UK in a restored condition in 2005. We purchased her in 2007 and set about converting her into a totally unique coffee van to complement our mobile catering business. She was professionally converted ready for the 2008 season long before the UK boom in quirky coffee cars. Since then many have copied the idea of a vintage vw but as far as I am aware she is the only one to have the high output of 2 coffee machines and 2 servers.
The van was the main magazine feature in Volks World camper and bus summer 2009. Years 
The conversion includes. br>2 fracino  twin group duel fuel semi automatic coffee machines
2 heavy duty fracino coffee grinders
2 stainless steel knock out draws
2 high pressure espresso pumps
1 12v lift pump with hand was and drainage
A built in LPG gas tank with remote fill
240v / 12v zig unit supplied from either 16a or 32a 'C' form plug. (While running on gas only the van will work off a 1kva generator)
Walls and ceiling insulated and clad in quilted stainless steel
Work surfaces and 3 storag cupboard doors clad in circled stainless steel
Florescent lighting
The exterior of the van included 
A 3 bow and A 2 bow stainless/hardwood roof rack system with side ladder used to mount the headboard 
3 surf boards. nbsp;The first is a longboard used as a fold down headboard The second is a swing out serving tableAnd the third is a reversable menu board
Three stainless steel safari windows were purchased from Wolfsburg California to finish the cool image. plus the stainless frog wipers.
Mechanically she's a wolf in sheeps clothing being extensively modified for drivability.
The engine is a 1977cc vw engine running on twin down draft Webber carbs
The gearbox I believe is a beetle box but I have had no cause to investigate this as it works well with the engine and has not required any repair only oil when servicing 
She now runs disc brakes on the front and standard dorms on the rear
Steering is now via a 'creative engineering' rack and pinion conversion so she now goes and stops where I want. ot where she wants!
We replaced the wiring loom about 6 years ago along with replacing all dials with vw heritage white faced dials.
VW's excuse for a heater was replaced with a propex caravan heater which delivers warm air to the cab area and the front servery.
After 9 seasons work the poor girls piaintwork was starting to show the odd dink. ubble and blemish so she has been treat to a major restoration consisting of 2 replacement rear arches. one inner and one outer sill and a front lower repair panel. full respray below roof gutter. hannel and underfloor under seal.
New floor tiles and as I write this her bench seat is being reupholstered in light blue and off white vinyl.
Four new tyres and white wall tyres
I am sure there will be things I have forgotten. ut can only stress that this vehicle has a no exspece spared history. All mechanical work has been carried out buy 'air cooled performance' a well respected vw performance garage specialising in mainly drag racing cars.
Finally we are now selling this lovely vw along with our entire catering fleet as after 24 in the business we are now perusing other interest.
She is ready to work for her new owner. vents have never been hard to find with a bus looking this good. She has attended weddings. Corporate events and parties even being invited to a current pop stars birthday bash.
