I found this car in Georgia. and bought it because the body was so solid.  It had been sitting in a building since 1984.  I found the registration slips from 1952 to 1984 inside the glove box!  And a driver's license from 1950!  All of this plus all of the receipts have been kept in a 3 ring binder and will come with the car.  I haven't done any body work or paint work on the car - I just drive it looking the way it looks.  I've gone over the whole body with a magnet and I haven't found any bondo anywhere.  It's black in the door jams. so I believe that was the original color.  I have a Florida title. in my name.
I've installed:
a new GM 350 crate motor
a late model rear diff (re-energizing brakes & a taller gear)
Re-chromed the grill and trunk hinges
replaced the interior including the headliner
installed new radial white walls that look like bias-ply
new aluminum radiator and electric fan
powder coated Ford wheels and spider caps
new control arms with ball joints instead of kingpins
2 inch drop spindles and 2 inch drop coils in front
installed power assist disc brakes
new 12 volt wiring
all new glass and weather stripping
NOS rear bumper NOS dash clock
TH350 transmission & custom drive shaft

I like vintage accessories. and I've installed a fog-light in the grill. vintage day / night mirror. flashlight holder on column. vintage locking fuel cap. and a bull nose hood ornament.

The car needs:
body work and paint
re-chrome the front bumper
windshield wiper motor
trunk latch
I put in a steering wheel from a '53 Lincoln Capri. but it needs restored.

There's no rust in the body. I brought the car down from Georgia. where it had sat indoors since 1984. In the glove box I found the registrations back to 1952 and the owner's 1950 driver's license! That and all of the receipts are organized in a 3 ring binder that comes with the car so you can see what parts were used if you need to replace anything. The work that had been done to the floors is good and there's no rust. When I removed the clutch pedal and brake I riveted a couple stainless patches over the holes in the floor. otherwise they're solid.
