1970 Cadillac DeVille

1970 DeVille Convertible - last year for the DeVille before Eldorado convertible was launched for 1971. Original Michigan survivor sold at McClintock Cadillac. Lansing. Strong running 472/7. 7 liter. 375hp. Recent top replacement with rear glass window. works fine. One older repaint. some bubbling and chips but perfectly serviceable as a daily driver. Small rust spots in front and rear of the passenger side rocker panel. Missing factory air conditioning compressor. condensor coil is present in front of radiator. Has the rare optional passenger side mirror (some pitting. but both mirrors can be rechromed). Aftermarket water temp gauge (helpful). heat works fine. Newer muffler and resonator. no holes. Good brakes and fuel system. top down rebuild done per prior owner (intake and heads removed. gaskets done and finished in correct Cadillac blue). Power windows all work. manual locks. regular headlamps (no twilight sentinel). No cruise. Door edge guards installed (factory option for 1970). I've replaced some rubber items: U-pillar door jamb seals and underhood bumpers. Original trunk carpet and cardboard. spare and all jack accessories. interior deck lid light works. One backup light not working. both lenses intact. All 1970-only correct cigarette lighters present.

Further Cosmetic Needs: New carpet (original carpet but thin over transmission hump in rear seat area); recover leather seats in front and surface of rear bench due to age cracking; typical elbow crack in drivers side armrest; replace carpet insert on drivers door panel.

Only 15. 61 of this model were produced. not many left. great candidate to complete restoration or just drive as a family fun cruiser.
