Own a one of a kind exotic classic British sports car with restoration work already done! Only a little over 10. 00 Jensen Healey cars were manufactured from 72-76. less than 4. 00 are known to exist today. and only two known to exist in the Last Frontier. Alaska! You will rarely find one with such low mileage on the original engine in this condition! I'm selling my Jenny because due to business/leisure travel and the environmental work I do. primarily in Fairbanks during the summer months. I don't get to enjoy her as much as I'd like. She's a beautiful black convertible 1974 Jensen-Healey with under 31. 00 original miles for $9. 00 OBO! No accidents. She's in great condition and runs smooth. Original Lotus 907 aluminum v4 engine. 4 speed transmission. newer tires/original rims. newer battery. clean interior with leather seats and new seat belts. original Jensen rubber mats. and new soft top! No cracks in windshield. Body and engine in excellent condition!

I'm the third owner. The owner I bought her from in Anchorage bought it from the original owner in Seattle and had it for 18 years under cover and I've had it under cover for about 3 years. I've invested about $12. 00 in restoration work; primarily because I'm not a mechanical person and have a local mechanic with 30+ years of British car restoration experience do all the work. He's particularly familiar with the Jensen Healey which is a bonus in Alaska. Most of the work has been tune-up (hoses/carbs/manifolds/seals/gaskets). replacement of aging parts. complete paint job and minor dent body work. brand new soft top cover. and completely new aluminum plating welded underneath to remove rusting. The engine has had all new hoses. seals. gaskets. belts. exhaust. and manifold and carbs tuned up. Just installed a brand new (as of 8/2013) aluminum radiator and fan. all new brakes as of 8/2012. and oil/filter and all other fluids changed as of 8/2013 with less than 100 miles since the change. Installed new horn. had lighting switch and lights replaced recently. All exterior lighting as well as all of the interior lighting work perfectly. There's even a Jensen stereo and speakers/tape deck that all work great. The clutch is in excellent condition as well. Installed new choke cable and the choke works great to start her up easy. Comes with a car cover to keep the dust off.

Two things recommended for fixing: First thing very minor. the hood latch has some wear and tear and can pop-up slightly at times. and this is a very minor part expense which can be purchased at Delta Motor Sports (Phoenix). They have all the parts you need and a great website with a full catalog here: http://www. deltamotorsports. com/
If you have any mechanical know-how. this should be a no-brainer fix. Second thing. more of a fix but not too spendy. the third gear pops out sometimes. I've had it about 3 years and I don't find this to be problematic as I know when it slips and just sink the clutch and re-engage the gear if it happens . My mechanic say this can be fixed by replacing the gear box. Other than this. she's in excellent shape.

Minor things: The interior is very clean. but does have two minor tears in the leather. not so noticeable. The original analog clock doesn't work. but I don't think these work on any of the Jensen's out there. The cigarette lighter doesn't charge. but easily fixed with a fuse replacement if desired. The trunk lock was replaced and works. but I've never tried locking the door locks and not sure if they work or not. It's not a car you lock really (i. e. . it's a convertible. soft top). so to me this is no big deal. I can't think of anything else.

Extras: I do have a bunch of parts and stuff that came with it in a box from the previous owner that I'm not sure what to do with. High performance shocks. new gasket seals (shouldn't need since I had this done two years ago). and the original repair manual. I also have a mens wrist watch with the Jensen Healey logo on it that I'll throw in.

As mentioned earlier. Delta Motor Sports in Phoenix. Arizona is a major supplier of Jensen Healey parts. I believe I've done all the major and most touch-up work and nothing except the previously mentioned issues should need repaired. but it's reassuring to know with such a rare car that you can still get new parts and they ship quickly at a very reasonable price even here in Alaska. The company also provides a lot of over-the-phone assistance on the car. These guys know Jensens inside-out. In Anchorage. there is one other Jensen owner in the local British Sports Car Club. I've been to the shows for this club and the Jensen Healey sticks out and surprisingly. or not surprisingly considering its rarity. gets more attention than all others (e. g. . Triumph. MG. Austin Healey. Lotus. Aston Martin. Jaguar. etc. ). It's a car you will take pride in owning!

I'm located in Anchorage. so buyers outside of my location will have to arrange for transporting it via ferry/ground at your expense. I'm negotiable on price and will take this into consideration. but make me a reasonable offer. Like I said. I have a considerable amount already invested in the car and honestly would rather hold onto it then sell it for a low-ball offer.

Serious buyers only please! Text or call me at 907-342-9309.
