This 1971 MGB was custom built by L. P. Freeman renowned British bike builder near Chicago. This is the one and only MG he ever built and says he will never build another one again. Quote. "I like building bikes better because you don't have to open the hood to show the engine". This car has been meticulously built from the ground up sparing no expense. Puritans may be put off by the lack of head rests and bumper guards and the not so factory Chevrolet Corvette Cobalt Blue paint scheme but this is basically a new car. The car was stored in a plane hanger for 20 years and was to be built by Bill Schultz. another master mechanic and MG expert before passing the project on to Freeman before passing away. The car looks and drives like it just came off the showroom floor. Everything. and I mean everything has been rebuilt from the chassis up. The car includes Bill Schultz' notes and a rare book from a Heritage motors class along with the headrests and bumper guards and the original roe-style wheels which have also been powder coated. Serious inquiries only please.
