1970 SHELBY GT350 FASTBACK....A RARE "ONE OWNER CAR" for sale

 UP FOR BID; ONE 1970 SHELBY GT350 FASTBACK. A RARE "ONE OWNER CAR". THAT'S RIGHT. I'M THE SOLE OWNER OF THIS BEAUTIFUL SHELBY MUSTANG. I BOUGHT IT NEW FROM MARV TONKIN FORD IN PORTLAND. OREGON ALMOST FORTY FOUR YEARS AGO.   I DROVE THE CAR UNTIL 1990 AND THEN IT WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE UNTIL MAY OF 2012. IT WAS THEN HAULED TO A SOMEWHAT LOCAL SHOP TO BEGIN IT'S ONE YEAR PLUS RESTORATION.  
  THE 1969 351W HAS BEEN TOTALLY REBUILT. THERE IS A TOTAL OF 563 MILES ON THE REBUILD AND RESTORATION. THE BLOCK IS NOT THE ORIGINAL BLOCK.
  THE C-6 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS "FRESHENED UP" TO THE TUNE OF $1500. 00. BACK IN THE LATE 70's I REPLACED THE FMX TRANNY WITH THE C-6 BECAUSE I GOT TIRED OF THE CAR BEING IN THE SHOP HAVING THE TRANSMISSION WORKED ON. I HAVE A 1969 FMX TRANSMISSION THAT. SHOULD THE CAR SELL. GOES WITH CAR.
  THE WHEELS ARE NEW. COULDN'T FIND ANYONE THAT WOULD PRESS THE ORIGINALS APART. RE-CHROME THE STEEL OUTER'S. RE-FINISH THE ALUMINUM INNER'S. AND PRESS THEM BACK TOGETHER. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINALS AND THEY GO WITH THE CAR.
  THE CARPETING IS NEW. THE REAR QUARTER INTERIOR TRIM PANELS ARE NEW (because of the speaker holes I cut 40 years ago. Hey. I was a kid). THE DOOR PANELS ARE NEW. THE MATERIAL ON THE ORIGINALS WAS SPLITTING AROUND THE ARMREST AND TO REPAIR THEM MEANT A SEAM ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE PANEL. EVERYTHING ON THE ORIGINAL PANELS WAS PROFESSIONALLY TRANSFERRED TO THE NEW PANELS AT A LOCAL UPHOLSTERY SHOP. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINALS. THEY GO WITH THE CAR. THE REST OF THE INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL.
  ALL THE CHROME AND ALUMINUM UNDER THE HOOD. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINALS; THE SHOCK TOWER BRACES AND CAPS. THE AIR CLEANER. THE CARBURETOR. THE PULLEY'S. THE ALTERNATOR AND POWER STEERING BRACKETS. THE FAN. IT ALL GOES WITH THE CAR.
  THE RADIO IN THE CAR IS NOT WORKING. I'VE GOT THE ORIGINAL RADIO.
  THE CONSOLE ASHTRAY IS MISSING.
  THE LATCH TO THE DOOR THAT SEPARATES THE TRUNK FROM THE BACK SEAT HAS PARTS MISSING.
  THE CAR IS PRACTICALLY NEW FROM THE REAR BUMPER TO THE FRONT BUMPER.
   THIS CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY SHOULD IT SELL BEFORE AUCTIONS END.
