Clean truck that was repainted in the ‘90s. Some bubbles and scratches. but 20-year old paint job still looks presentable. Typical '67-'72 truck rocker panel rust. though not as extensive as most on eBay. The passenger side rocker is salvageable. but I bought a reproduction rocker just in case (not installed. goes with sale).
I have left off the new sill plates to show the true condition of the floorpans. I sanded and painted Rust Inhibitor over the surface rust areas.
The rubber floor covering was pulled out and cleaned. It turned out nice enough to leave in the truck instead of converting to carpet.
The chassis and frame underneath the body is clean.
I purchased this truck from a relative's son. whose father had passed and he inherited it a while ago. It was repainted in the factory style color in the ‘90s (he took it to prom). It had been sitting in a garage with the 350 motor torn down (no VIN stamp). missing pieces such as the intake manifold. carb and distributor. and the AC compressor and brackets were off.
I have thousands in new parts to get it running and driving reliably. My brother and I have almost two years worth of time invested. with untold hours into this build. Hate to sell. but it is time.
Installed is a 1970 350 motor from an Impala. purchased from an older gentleman who pulled it years ago from a rusty car because it ran great. It had everything. complete from carb to pan along with the 2-barrel air cleaner with the 250 HP sticker. It also had a Powerglide transmission. though I used the 350 Turbo transmission that was already in the truck (since rebuilt). I converted it to a stock factory 4-barrel Quadrajet intake manifold. The 1970 motor is stock internally. but I did add completely new Fel-Pro seals (valve covers. one-piece oil pan. front seals) and many new parts: Harmonic balancer. double-roller performance timing chain. new internally regulated alternator. water pump. fuel pump. etc.
Considerable time was spent on the motor. cleaning and priming. then finally painting the main block Chevy Orange to look good. All the factory brackets were cleaned. primed and painted. as well as the wire looms to keep it looking stock. Along with a new HEI distributor. I installed new quality AC Delco plugs and HEI wires. This was not a scuff-and-spray rebuild; many quality parts were bolted on to make sure this motor would last a long time.
Transmission:
Turbo 350 3-speed automatic
Freshly rebuilt (cost $700 with receipts)

4 barrel Intake manifold 6263751 decodes as a 1972 200HP intake. Date of B162 or Feb 16th. 1972.
Exhaust:
Stock truck Ram Horn exhaust manifolds
Blasted and coated with Eastwood High Temp Exhaust spray. cured in oven
True dual exhaust with rear quarter panel turn-outs and chrome tips (sounds great!)
Fel-Pro exhaust manifold donut/seals
New exhaust manifold stud and nut kits
Drivetrain:
New driveshaft u-joints installed (3) along with new carrier bearing.
Even has a driveshaft loop for safety

Many have inquired about buying just these AC parts off the truck. but they go with sale. All removed pieces are stored in a Rubbermaid container.
Interior:
New repo sill plates (not installed; originals go with sale)
Alpine stereo (ala ‘90s)
Camaro steering wheel (installed when purchased)
New gas tank and sending unit
Bench seat was reupholstered before I purchased it (one small cigarette burn)
New glovebox liner
Tires and Wheels
Stock truck 15x7” Rally wheels with trim rings and caps.
Tires are older. though sport good tread. with 225-70-15 tires.
I kept the stock look. so anyone could add new tires or mount larger aftermarket rims.
Wiring/Electrical
A professional wiring expert (Autocraft Specialties. MN) spent several days converting the engine bay to an HEI distributor (full 12 volts) and switching the new alternator to an internally regulated model for better performance and reliability.
Exterior
Truck body is as I bought it. I haven't touched the exterior. trim. or Cheyenne badges. It was repainted in the ‘90s in the same factory paint scheme (553 White/Hugger Orange). which is listed on sticker. The floorboards show the original paint. as did the firewall. Inside. I pulled out the bench seat when the gas tank was installed. but it is the same as I bought it. It also has a black headliner with trim.
The VIN on the glove box sticker matches the truck's VIN. The glove box sticker does not list the RPO Cheyenne option code. Cheyenne trim may have been added during repaint in early ‘90s.
This truck could be considered a “Barn Find” even though it was stored in a garage. It has lower mileage and was parked for years. Everything was gone through to make it roadworthy. reliable and safe.
It has just less than 69. 00 original miles on it. It deserves to be driven daily now.
Tachometer was installed and wired up.
A mechanical choke cable can be seen on the firewall in some pictures. but the Quadrajet was converted to electric choke to be more efficient and for better drivability.
In the bed. there is a rubber mat. There are some dried stains on it. but it protects the metal floor.
There are only a few issues:
No Door locks or door keys (purchased truck without any keys). I ordered new door cylinder lock kit with keys. not installed (goes with sale).
Tailgate won't latch; uses a bungee cord.
Tires are older. could use a new set.
Interior dome light doesn't work (there aren't door switches or buttons even).
Oil pressure gauge not hooked up (bought pressure line. not installed).
Heater core is not operational. New heater core installed. but hoses are capped for now.
Rear emergency brake cables inoperable. They rattled on custom dual exhaust pipes. so they were wire-tied to frame. out of the way.
Many people think it looks like the famous '70 Farm Truck from the popular Street Outlaws TV show. The '71 model has a better looking grill and has 5-on-5” bolt pattern wheels and front disk brakes.
This C10 is very reasonably priced and it will sell. On eBay there are trucks all rusted out with 20” wheels getting over 10K. By comparison. this truck is cleaner. stock and not hacked up. If you want a stock. good-looking truck with a good running drivetrain. this is it.
LOW RESERVE and it will sell. This truck can't be beat for price- everything is new!
Yes. this is a long listing. I'd rather give bidders the most accurate. up-to-date details. That is why I have a 100% Feedback score. with many compliments to my shipping and professionalism. Bid confidently knowing I'm not a dealer who flips cars to make money.
I have receipts worth thousands of dollars. over 2 grand alone since last fall in rebuilt transmission. heater core. gas tank. carburetor. and more. Just spent $300 on front brakes alone. Many extras thrown in.
Not enough space forces the sale. I won't store it outside.
Just drove this truck non-stop for 50-miles. Temp gauge stays exactly ¾. no issues.
I encourage all bidders to stop by and inspect the truck and email or contact me with any further questions at 612-819-4804 or 763-443-4965. I can only list so many pictures on ebay.
