1974 Jaguar E-Type

The car as you can see from the photos has always been very well maintained and whenever anything needed attention the seller tells us that he always took care of it.   The 1974 Jaguar has new Dayton Wire Wheels. new fuel pump. transmission was rebuilt 3-4 years ago and he had a new clutch and pressure plate done at the same time the transmission was rebuilt.   The car has a new stainless steel exhaust from the collector all the way to the back.   The car drives great and the underside looks great and the 4-speed transmission is working as it should.   The car is painted in Jaguar's Regency Red with a gorgeous interior.   The car does have air conditioning but may need a charge.   The original clock and the period correct radio are not currently working.   The convertible top is very usable and has had some small repairs and the owner does have a new top still in the box for the car that will be included in the sale.   The last time that the owner driver drove the car he thought that there might be a possible exhaust leak when the car was cold. it did seem to disappear after the car warmed up.   You can see that the private seller is very interested in representing the car as it exists.

For an award winning Jaguar in this condition the seller has placed a very reasonable reserve on the car (please don't ask).  

If you are a Jaguar collector you have noticed that the Series III V12 have been coming on very strong.   Our opinion here at MissChiTown is that the Series III V12 have been accelerating at a faster rate then the 6-cylinder XKE's.   It is not often that a Series III Jaguar XKE Roadster of this quality is ever offered and this could be a unique opportunity to acquire a car of this caliber.
