Excursion is in good condition for a 17yr old truck.   I plan on getting it inspected the week of 04/14.   The tires have some dry rot but not where it will fail inspection.   There is a ding in the drivers door by the front jamb that may have come from closing it with a twig in between.   The paint has some peeling happening on the roof in the rain channel.   This is also happening in the rear jamb area of both back doors.  It may be caused by being stored in a driveway under trees and a lot of accumulation of bird dung. not sure. see the pics.   Both side running board supports are rotted. driver's side is the worse.   The replacements are $159 each through Ford or you can replace them with aftermarket steps.   I took pictures of the body rust which is in the early stage and can be repaired.   The worst is below the back doors where the jambs and bottom body meet.   The engine needs to be started often.   I found that if it sits too long (week) it hesitates.   I have been starting it and letting it run 5 minutes every night and have not had any problems.   History on the truck.   My Aunt bought it used from Haynes Ford in Housiek. NY.   I have the original ad from 08/2005.   The truck had 23. 49 when she bought it.   Her reason was that he commute to work in bad weather worried her and she wanted something safe that was not going to get stuck in the snow.   She passed away in 2012 and left the truck to my parents.   They kept it for sentimental reasons.   They only used it to make a few trips down to Raleigh N. C. to visit my sister in the summer.   Other than that it just sat in their driveway.   Dad can't drive anymore and it's too big for Mom so I talked them into selling it to someone that will use it and not let it sit and rot away.   I believe I have all the invoices on work that has been done on the truck and can scan and send on request. Shipping and payment.   I prefer to sell it to someone local so they can see what they are getting.   If a distance sale is done. the buyer is responsible for all shipping. transfer. tax and tags expenses.   There is no warranty with this truck and a no refund policy is in effect.   Deposit can be done through paypal. balance of cash or cashiers check.   Questions can be sent to oneironsights@gmail. com.   If you are local and want to see it please email me to set up a time and place.
