1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack 4 Speed

Over the last fourteen years. this 1970 Challenger R/T has undergone meticulous restoration. making sure that each detail. large and small. is era-correct to this year and model.   The engine and transmission were rebuilt. which included replacing the crank shaft and installing new pistons. rings. and valves as well as the factory specified cam shaft for the six pack.   The six pack carburetor's were also rebuilt to factory specs and were calibrated and tested by Promax carbs in Indiana.   No detail has been overlooked. from the Hurst Pistol Grip 4 speed to the bias tires installed on correct 15 inch rally wheels.   This car also has the original service and shop manuals.

All controls and gauges on the rally dash work with the exception of the factory clock.   The factory AM/FM stereo also works and looks great.

This Challenger R/T has had its most recent professional "frame-on" restoration over the last two years (2011-2013).   This restoration involved the removal of the engine. transmission. fenders. doors. hood. and trunk lid as well as most of the interior.   Any corrosion was corrected and a thourough repaint of the car. in Plum Crazy Purple. was completed.   This repaint included the engine compartment as well as the trunk. both of which are in excellent condition.   The interior had new era-correct carpet installed.   The trunk has the factory bumper-jack and space-saver spare tire.   This past year specifically saw the installation of a new factory spec dual exhaust as well as a new clutch and battery.   The front-end suspension was rebuilt along with the power steering pump.  

This 1970 Challenger R/T now looks and performs as well if not better than when it came off the factory line.   This head-turner drives and sounds great and has taken top awards at several car shows including the prestigious Stowe. Vermont.
