Up for sale is my 1973 VW Thing.   This is an older restoration. with a brand new engine. Crate engine from Darrylsvw. com.   Darryl's classic. June 2015.   This is a summer convertible car for me and my family to cruise around in out east on Long Island. NY.   Everything works. except for the wipers.   I installed manual wipers for inspection purposes. I have the motor for the wiper but that will need to be rebuilt. Not worth it since this isn't a car you drive around in the rain in. Odometer was not hooked up when the new engine was installed but speedometer and gas gauge all work fine.   Easy shifting and starts right up.   Brings you back to the days when things were made well but simple.   Convertible top and windows are fantastic. seats are in great shape. no rips or tears. I have spare tire and tow bar.
If you want a fun car to drive around in and feel like you are 20 again this is the car for you.   Great for the family and the beach or to go to dinner at night with the top down.
