GTO owner 1 was a little old lady sold 2 owner 2 in 1976. My friend was the owner of this GTO and told me its history. I am 52 years old. GTO Has the Rare chrome bumper option hence the little old Lady. I do have a GTO Factory Enduro bumper and most of the parts to convert to Enduro with flip down headlight if needed. About 2000. 00 dollars worth of parts comes with the Sale. New 17inch Pontiac deluxe rally wheels with new BFGoodrich Comp T/A Tires. All Electrical works except the front lower valance panel socket says my mechanic. socket needs changing or something drivers side front. Origional Pontiac 400 YS MOTOR has new Pistons. rebuilt heads and a mechanical cam that was changed from a Hydraulic to mechanical in the early 1980s by the 3rd owner of the GTO the Brother of the Brother who puchased the the car in 1980 from him. Clear title is from 1980 origional. Origional exhaust manifolds on GTO no Headers. Dual exhaust system older. Motor has a electronic ignition conversion. external oil filter mount. Vacume canister becuase came was modified to front dist brakes in the early 1980s. With the Mechanical Cam shaft this was needed for vacume purposed to operate the new front disk system. GTO now has a new 4 wheel disk system with a added electric vacume pump to the vacume canister. motor is extimated to put out around 425 horse power with the stock exhaust manifolds. a better exhaust system and headers could bring this motor to over 450 horspower easily if wanted. Transmission has a shift Kit put in the early 1980s. I put on a aluminum trans pan with magnetic plug to easily drain fluid. I have the stock trans pan comes with the GTO. Rear Posi Traction Unit also has a T/A Aluminum Differential Cover with Stud Stabilizer and Magnetic Oil Drain Plug. Trans and Differential fluids have been Recenly Serviced by my Mechanic. New Posi additive also added. Trans does a Small Front Seal Leak. I have owned the GTO For About 2 Years Know and I would guess about 1 quart of trans fluid loss in that time. from sittling. Engine powerfull and ideals very well with Mechanical camshaft. Slight Lope on Idle sounds Good. Engine runs very well. Engine reuilt in the late 1970s estimated to have about 1000 miles since its origional rebuildCar was garaged and not driven much from the 3rd owner brother. He was always busy working his Construciton Company. GTO was always and still is Garaged. WORK NEEDED AS I CAN BEST SEE IT. THE BAD. ISSCRATCH ON FRONT WINDSHIED FROM WIPER WINDOWS ROLL UP FINE. THIS GTO IS VERY DRIVABLE. I WOULD HAVE THE GTO REPAINTED BACK TO THE ORIGIONAL VERDORO GREEN. HAS BEEN PAINTED LAQUER SILVER IN THE EARLY 1980-S CAN BE TOUCHED UP IF WANTED UNTIL CAR PAINT IS DONE. WOULD LOOK FAIRLY GOOD WITH PARTIAL REDO. AMATURE PAINT AND BODY WORK DONE ON REPAINT IN THE EARLY 1980S. HAS SIGN OF BODY FILLER ON PASSENGER SIDE REAR QUARTER PANEL WHEEL MOLD AREA . OTHER SIDE LOOKS GOOD. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FENDER HAS A REPAIRABLE EASILY SMALLER DENT THAT EFFECTS THE ORIGIONAL CHROME FRONT BUMPER. EASILY REPAIRABLE BY A GOOD BODY SHOP KEEPING ORIGIONAL PARTS. DOORS SOLID. PASSENGER SIDE FRONT FENDER SOLID LOOKING. PASSENGER SIDE APPEARS-LOOKS SOLID. EXCEPT FOR FRONT DENT ON FENDER AS JUST DESCRIBED. FRONT HOOD HAS A NEW LATCH ASSEMBLY ON ORIGIONAL HOOD NEEDS GAP ADUSTMENT OF HOOD. IT IS HARD TO OPEN THE HOOD WITHOUT THE PROPER BODY ADJUSTMENT BEING DONE. IT DOES OPEN MUST FIDDLE WITH THE FRONT AREA TO OPEN HOOD. IT DOES CLOSE PROPERLY. FRONT TRANSMISION SEAL WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AT SOME TIME DOES HAVE A SMALL LEAK AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. ORIGIONAL FAN APPEARS TO BE A LITTLE OUT OF BALANCE I WOULD PUT ON A NEW FAN LIKE A HAYDEN HEAVY DUTY FLEX FAN. THESE ARE VERY GOOD AND VARIABLE PITCHED FOR POWER. NTERIOR IN FAIRLY GOOD DRIVER SHAPE FOR ITS ORIGIONAL AGE. NEED SEVERE CLEANING AND DETAILING. CAR WAS ALWAYS SITTING IN GARAGE AND NOT DRIVEN MUCH OVER THE YEARS. CARPET SHOT. FLOOR CONCIL HAS TWO SPEAKER HOLES IN THE BOTTOM SIDES. COULD PUT SPEAKERS BACK IN FOR A STEREO SYSTEM. NO RADIO. WOULD HAVE THE REAR SUSPENSION LOOKED AT MY MECHANIC MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS A BLOCKS OR SOMETHING PUT IN TO RAISE BACK CAR A LITTLE OR SOMETHING. ORIGIONAL SPRINGS AND SHOCKS BELIEVED. TOP OFYC PONTIAC 400 MOTOR WAS PAINTED ORANGE WOULD PUT BACK TO BLUE. iTS A PONTIAC NOT A CHEVY. LOLHAS MICKEY THOMPSON VALVE COVERS ALUMINUM VERY COLLECTIBLE AN EXPENSIVE. GREAT SHAPE MAY WANT STOCK VALVE COVERS. ALSO HAS A CHROME AIR CLEANER FROM THE LATE 1970S WITH CUSTOM WINGNUT NOSTALGIC ALL THIS BEING SAID THIS IS A VERY SOLID GTO THAT RUNS WELL AND CAN BE DRIVEN. DOES NEED SOME WORK BUT VERY VERY SOLID RESTORATION OR GOOD DRIVER QUALITY AUTOMOBILE. THIS GTO HAS A POIENITAL OF 40. 00 DOLLARS WITH A GOOD PAINT JOB AND BODY WORK AND ABOVE. I DROVE THIS CAR 50 MILES HOME FROM MY MECHANIC AND SHIFTED WELL. AND IT RAN WELL. TOP WORKS WELL. NEEDS A GOOD HOME. GTO HAS A VERIFIABLE HISTORY BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS OWNER ARE STILL FRIENDS.
