Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia welcomes this rare 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera to its showroom located in West Deptford. NJ! The mid 1970s saw some tribulation for the automotive industry due to oil crises. tighter emission controls and an overall production quality. Manufacturers were feeling the effects and Porsche was no exception. Emission regulations in the US wreaked havoc for Porsche’s engines for a period from 1975 to 1977. The temporary solution was heat. specifically in the installation of thermal reactors that burned exhaust gas. In fact. the German manufacturer removed fan blades to increase operating temperatures! While this fix helped for a short time. it resulted in a high number of engine malfunctions. Perhaps. due to this reason. many Porsches from the mid-70s have not survived. The sheer cost of proper maintenance and professional engine rebuilding have cast a 1975 Porsche to the shadows. With only 374 Carreras ever made. there are very few of these Porsche Carreras left on the market.
This Porsche. #25 of 374. has been well maintained over the years and wears correct Grand Prix White paint with “Carrera” boldly emblazoned on each side of the vehicle. The Russet Partial leather interior pairs nicely with the exterior color and features black bucket seats. Momo ® steering wheel. a sun roof and Pioneer CD player to listen to your favorite artist. Take note of the signature factory flares coupled with stock Porsche wheels and a set of performance tires. This Carrera has been upgraded over the years and now has a totally rebuilt 3. 0L six-cylinder engine! Light weight bumpers. performance calipers and rotors and performance heat exchanger and muffler have all been installed. No need to worry about the issues that plagued these cars back in the day. it’s all been professionally handled! The only thing that you need to worry about it where you plan on driving this sweet ride! It’s not often you are going to see these import vehicles. so act quickly!
