1986 Mercedes 560SL 2 Door Coupe Family Owned Hard Top Convertible

This was owned for years (original owner) by a senior citizen (lady) and gently driven.   Drivers seat has issues from wear as shown in the pictures.   Needs some work to get it back into shape (leather seats).   The car was passed down to a younger couple who only drove it in the summer time.   Mileage put on per year for the last decade has been less than 700 miles per summer.   There is an oil leak. while not major. but does not to be anything of major concern.   Soft top is fine with normal aging.   No engine or other known mechanical issues.    This has been garage kept so other than minor wear issues. the paint overall is in good shape.   Any rust is very minor on this vehicle.

It's in fairly good shape for a car that age. Is the paint original? Yes. original paint. Any touch ups. body repairs? A few minor touch ups you can see in pic Any dents or scratches visible? Nothing significant. This was a family car owned by my mother in-law. Exhaust system? I think it's good. Condition of chrome parts. moldings. front grill (star)? Good Condition Any leaks? Minor leak. but has not affected anything. I only put on a few hundred miles a year so not used much. Engine. transmission. steering. petrol system. Idle of engine (smooth?). not normal noises of engine or suspension? Rust anywhere? Are all parts original? Original parts. Idle fair. probably can use a tune up. Do you have the original radio in place? Does all work as it should? Radio is in place and working. Power steering. power windows. power antenna. cruise control. AC. radio. Windshield. windows ok? Yes. power windows work well. Antennae goes partially up but can hear radio clearly. Very Minor rust detected. Overall car is in good shape. Any damage? Condition of hard top and soft top? Hard top. excellent condition. Soft top fair condition – is the original and still very operable. Any warning light on? (ABS) light? ABS light does go on. Maintenance history available? Records. reports? Power steering? Any play in it? Manual and service book. jack and tool set available? Maintenance history available for last several years. Yes Jack set still there. Manual only partially there. I am not a car person and inherited this vehicle so this is the best I can answer. Will take best offer. knowing someone who knows cars will enjoy and be able to work with it.

Does the car run and drive properly? Does the heat and air conditioning work now? What is the condition of the entire soft top? Is there rust or bubbling anywhere on the body? You mention an oil leak. hat is leaking and how big a leak? Did you ever get a cost estimate to fix the leak? Please describe. Thanks Mar-22-17 A:  The heat is fine. The air conditioning does not work but has not been evaluated as to why. A new compressor was put in 2014 but don't think. despite that work done. that it is working properly. The soft top is in really good shape with no issues. No bubbling as far as the paint on the body goes. Some light rust on the quarter panels but not extensive or deep as as this car isn't driven but in the summer. The oil leak I believe is a minor one and is not one of major concern. All the issues with this car. I believe. are minor ones that a little TLC would make right.
