For your consideration is my beautiful MGB offered at LOW RESERVE. When I applied for the custom plate at the DMV I was astonished that 1964 MGB had not been taken! My good fortune can be yours. as this plate is included with the car.

It is a dry California car. has been treated well. and is an absolute people magnet wherever I go. It is especially fun when someone comes up and says "Hey. what year is your car?" I just smile and point at the license plate.
The chrome wire wheels look good and with a little more elbow grease they will look great. they add just that much more to the traditional flavor and presentation of a Black sports car. Installed not too long ago 5 brand new excellent matching radial tires (maybe have 100 miles on them).

The car fires right up. runs cool and strong. the clutch is solid. and the transmission as smooth as glass. I have replaced the front rotors & brake pads. replaced the rear brake pads. replaced the front wheel bearings. installed new tie-rod ends along with the gator boots associated with them. performed an oil change. replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses. replaced the on/off heater valve on the engine. replaced the front turn signal lenses (thought the clear looked better). replaced the air filter. installed new stainless braided brake lines in place of the old leaking rubber ones. replaced the old non working AM radio with a AM/FM model. replaced the old torn speaker. and replaced the gear shift knob. Some things will need additional sorting out. For example. the right front shock absorber leaks oil when serviced. This causes the front right to bounce when pushed upon. This beautiful 53 year-old classic is sold "as is". without warranty.

Working: All Smiths gauges. (except the fuel gauge. it usually shows between half and full even when it's not). headlights. high and low beams. brake lights. running lights. license plate lights. turn signals including driver and passenger light flashers. turn signal switch. windshield wipers. choke. horn. driver passenger and rear exterior locks. interior door openers. window winders. heater. interior side vent flanges. interior door locks. gauge illumination and more. Currently not working is the following: Just the erratic fuel gauge. I have fixed everything that wasn't working except this pesky gauge. I even replaced the fuel sender with no luck. The above is based on my personal observation. and is not a professional inspection or warranty.

The paint is OK. no fading but has small chips and scratches. Lovely chrome and lenses. The interior looks as good as it does in the photographs. but will need sun visors. Great headliner. When you have a chance. look down the sides of the car in some of the photographs that follow. In them. you will see a car that is very straight. I have noticed a smaller area of rust low down. in only one of the doglegs. You have to look close to see this. This car is a keeper!

Includes a nice new spare tire. factory jack. and a few odds & ends that I haven't had the chance to install yet. Haynes manual included along with the California Car Cover. It's lightweight and basically keeps the dust to a minimum.

This is an early 1964 MGB. Second year of production for the MGB. Classic design from the BRITISH LELAND COMPANY. The early MGBs have the chrome bumpers and this one has VERY nice chrome all the way around. The red interior might be original. but I don't know. The carburetor has been upgraded at some point in it's life which allows the car to run and drive beautifully. These older MG's are becoming very collectible and will become the next MGA in collect-ability. This one has the beautiful knock off wire wheels with a new set of rubber as mentioned before. Just a note that the tires have inner tubes. Most times these auctions don't make it to the end and I do reserve the right to end the auction early. I have it listed locally as well. Take a look at the picture gallery below and see what this MGB is all about. REMEMBER IF YOU BID PLEASE BID TO OWN.

With a turn of the key this MGB starts right up without hesitation. The manual choke works properly. and though you need to baby it a bit when cold. when it starts to warm up it just drives so nicely. Shifting through gears is nice and smooth as it should be. The brakes are firm and upon braking this roadster pulls up nice and straight. The steering is tight and turns easily without any vibration.
The interior is very tidy and complete. The red vinyl seats are in very good condition without rips or tears through the seams. The dash is complete with all gauges. The indicators work and self cancel. along with the headlights and sidelights. The wipers work. and the push horn works as well. The red carpeting throughout is in really great condition. and the door panels are in great condition also. The driver's and passenger's window roll up and down properly and all glass is clear without cracks. The convertible top is really good. keeps the rain out just fine. The trunk space is tidy and complete with spare wire wheel. car cover. jack and wire wheel knock off tools. The fuel pump needs to be mounted on its bracket. I just never got around to it.

Overall this MGB roadster is a very good example of a clean California car. I can't stress enough how nicely this car runs. If you're looking for a solid MG to drive around town and enjoy then look no farther because this is the one. Bid with confidence as I have been an eBay customer for many years with 100% positive feedback. As always I would advise inspecting the car in person if at all possible. Please also note that I reserve the right to end this auction early should I receive an offer I can't refuse. Please call for an appointment or with any questions you may have. (805)405-6067. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

This has been my baby for 1 year 8 months. I have only put on 825 miles in that time. It is my understanding that 59. 69 is the original mileage. It looks like it has never been wrecked and is straight as a MGB can be. I still have the original AM radio for you to tinker with. Just be careful with the positive ground. I put in a converter so the new radio would work. It has its ORIGINAL # matching engine w/ a nicely tuned Weber carb. The transmission is SUPER TIGHT and shifts great! Just remember that the car must be fully stopped in order to shift into first gear due to the non-synchronous gearing that early MGB's had. I really can not think of anything else to say about it. I TRULY. TRULY hate to let her go!!! It needs to go to a new good home where someone will treat it good and drive it regularly. Its Not fair to the car to just sit hiding away from the public. It needs to be enjoyed and driving. It has been a GREAT and RELIABLE ride for the year and a half that I've owned it. Hard to say that about most British sport cars. Any inspections are welcomed!!! DO NOT MISS THIS ONE! A great survivor and just a great sports car!!!! GOOD LUCK ON BIDDING!!! SOME ONE IS GOING TO GET A GREAT SPORTS CAR!!! Remember ONLY 59. 69 ACTUAL MILES!!!! Comes with CLEAR AND CLEAN TITLE!! Thanks for viewing my baby!!! DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY! ITS A SLICK RIDE!!! GOING TO MISS IT!!
