You are bidding on a beautiful 1965 Oldsmobile 442 convertible with the 400 CI and 4 speed option.  This car has been owned by it's current owner for the past 32 years and is one of the finest example of an original 1965 442 4 speed convertible.  As far as we can tell the car has never been repainted with its original paint in excellent condition. Only a very few minor chips which are hardly noticeable. All the die-cast chrome moldings are near perfect exhibiting only a minor pit or two which like the paint are hardly noticeable.  Car also has the rare original 442 script Hurst shifter. New top was installed over 30 years ago with a glass rear window. The car has what appears to be a 1966 tri-power which is incorrect for 1965 however was installed by the original owner.   Car comes with the original 4 barrel intake and air cleaner. Unfortunately original carb is long gone. Interior is original with the front buckets exhibiting splitting at the seams.  Could use a set of original front seat covers to make interior perfect.  Rear seats and door panels are original and in great condition.   The current owner of this car is the third owner. The car does have its original Protect-O-Plate showing it to be an original 442 4spd convertible with the 400 CU engine. Car has power steering and does not have air conditioning. Car does not smoke! The car appears to be rust free with no previous body damage. The underside including floor pans. supports. rockers and wheel wells are rust free. This car has 70K original miles so there is the normal road dirt/grime underneath which can be expected on a 70K mile car. The power top does operate fine.  I am selling for a friend and will try to answer all questions to the best of my ability. If I don't know the answer I will contact the owner.  Clear Michigan title.  Car is located in Western Michigan and in person inspections / test rides are welcome and encouraged.  If interested in inspecting car you can contact me so we can arrange a day and time.  Local pickup only and will not ship. Winning bidder responsible for shipping arrangements and cost.
