1955 Chrysler Newport Imperial Hemi

1955 Chrysler Imperial Newport Coupe. 331 250hp HEMI V8. Engine. transmission and rear axle are factory assembled original. The engine runs very strong and does not smoke or knock. Powerflight automatic transmission.  All gauges work. On the underside everything looks as it should. Everything has a general thin coat of factory applied undercoat. mounts rocker bottoms and floors are solid & original This Imperial runs and drives beautifully.

Rare original colour. The paint code Code #52  ( “special spring color" two-tone combination) consisting of "Platinum" Upper and "Sunburst Yellow" Lower.  The color code for Sunburst Yellow is #32. nbsp;original Rust free Florida car. The paint is very nice and shows quite well. Bumpers were re-plated.  

All other chrome and trim are original.

All new brakes and lines.

Newer white leather and cloth upholstery. newer carpet as well.   This is a very nice car you can drive to any show and enjoy. What it is not is a 100% perfect trailer queen.

In addition a spare parts collection with many valuable items will come with the car should the reserve be met.   A passenger Imperial front fender and wheel trim with correct color paint are included. The reason for this is the fender currently on the car is correct to a 300. The only difference being the wheel lip and trim. The fender was never changed as its patina and trim match the rest of the car and its fitment would suggest it was factory installed this way To that end we feel this is a minor issue. but one worth mentioning. Only 3418 Imperials were produced for 1955 (even fewer had air conditioning. )  A car designed to be a cut above it peers and destined to rare even when new due to its $4. 20 price tag.  A car that can boast many firsts for its model a piece of automotive history and a wonderful example of 1950's luxury so bid to win & you won't be disappointed.
