Lone Star LS427 Cobra 1966 Replica

Vehicle Description
This Lone Star Classics kit was purchased in 2006 and completed in 2009. It was built with my particular view of attention to construction detail which sets it apart from many other builds. Examples include:1) All brake lines and fitting were upgraded to stainless steel and custom routed for added safety and accessibility. Rubber fuel lines were replaced by 3/8" hard aluminum line. 2) Wiring and all wiring components (fuse block. solenoids. relays. switches. connections. etc. ) were installed/routed to keep the firewall. visible engine compartment and cockpit as clean and uncluttered. Under dash components and wiring bundles have been labeled for ease of adding/subtracting components. 3) Manufacture's clunky (and ugly) firewall mounted steering column support was eliminated and replaced by an out-of-sight interference plate design located on the cockpit side of the firewall. 4) Radiator was repositioned to provide max clearance in front of the engine but. more importantly. to give it max. exposure to cooling inlet air flow. 5) Chassis. suspension and frame components were powder coated instead of painted.  
Body  - Lone Star Classics fiberglass body with extended length (3") square tube chassis  - Dynamat heat suppressing material throughout cockpit.   - "House of Kolors" Kopper basecoat/clearcoat.
Brakes & Suspension  - Pinto front rack and pinion. tubular A-arms with Aldan Eagle coilovers and slotted/drilled Wilwood discs.   - Rear 4 link with panhard bar. Aldan Eagle coilovers and slotted/drilled Wilwood discs.
Drive Train  - Southern Automotive Ford FE406 with 750 cfm Holley. MSD 6AL ignition. Canion oil pan with windage tray. remote oil cooler and filter with SS braided hose and AN fittings.   - Jet-Hot coated and ThermoTec wrapped 2" headers with 3" collectors and side pipes.   - Tremec TKO600 (2. 87/. 64) 5 speed manual transmission with Lakewood scatter shield and custom billet shifter.   - Currie 9" rearend with 3. 51:1 gears.
Systems  - AFCO aluminum radiator. electric puller fan with front and rear shrouds.   - All SS brake lines and fittings.   - 3/8" hard aluminum fuel line.   - "Painless Wiring" 18 circuit harness.   - VDO Classic guages.
Interior  - Chrome "Ididit" steering column and Grant steering wheel.   - Tan leather seats and panel with matching carpet.   - Trunk is unfinished.
Tires & Wheels  - 17" Boyd Coddington "Smoothies"  - Goodyear Eagle F1 245/40 ZR17's on front. 315/35 ZR 17's on rear
