 My Mercedes 500 SL is now for sale. Privately owned by me.

This Mercedes is the face-lift version with 5. 0 litre V8 engine and automatic transmission. It is finished in Signal Red with cream leather upholstery. The car has covered only 60100 miles from new. It is 'fully-loaded'. (except heated seats - but who drives these in the cold anyway??!) meaning it has all the items that could be fitted from new such as. hardtop. soft top. headlight wash/wipe system. fog lights. illuminated vanity mirrors. cruise-control. radio (CD player). electric aerial. original tool kit. safety triangles. jack. Central locking. All original panels. genuine MB glass. Even the MB Fire Extinguisher is there and still 'in service'

The car comes with 4 AMG styled alloy wheels and also the MB 15 hole wheels with new tyres. There is a new hoist for the hard top and an electric winch for lifting the top single handedly.

I will supply with the car the MB EPAS DVD for parts and diagrams. a hand made Italian fitted car cover and a dedicated website for the car (soon to be launched).

This car was made famous by such TV series as Dallas and Hart to Hart and has become one of the most popular classic Mercedes around. There are very few 500s that tick all the boxes. Not all have Signal Red with Cream leather.

The car is available for an independent mechanical examination.

I have 18 MOT's. and 3 SORN certificates since 1991. Which is a full record of the history and miles since the first MOT. Also have 18 Tax discs.

The car is priced to sell. If the desired minimum price is not achieved I will retain the number plate. hoist. winch. cover. nbsp; EPAS DVD and the spare set of wheels.

The car was fully re-painted in 2013 and there are pictures to show the process. It was painted as nearly all panels had slight blemishes. The leather seats were Re-Connollised too - meaning the car is like new in many ways.

People ask me to describe this 500 SL. and I say that it's the difference between riding on a south coast Sprinter train and the Orient Express. The almost silent 'whoosh' of the car as she glides along is something to experience.

Later Mercedes SL's may have been more technically advanced. but the later ones drop in value and desirability. These 500's just go up and up.
