The comprehensive and continuous history of this quattro starts when the car was delivered to its first Lady Owner in Jersey through the official Audi Agent : St Brelades Garages Ltd. The 1st service was undertaken in Worcestershire by Evans Halshaw the then Dealers in Redditch some 3 months later at 4026 miles - the 2nd service was completed some 4 months after back in Jersey so clearly unlike most Jersey cars this one was being used. Jump to 1987 the car was permanently imported to the main land and was retailed by South Hereford Garages Audi to a Cheltenham Owner with a recorded mileage of 36569. It was at this time looking at the sales invoice that the car gained colour coding to the spoiler. wheels and mirror caps - it doesn't get much more "period mods" than that !

Through the intervening years the car has clearly been lavished with care and attention as the original Blue VAG Service book contains some 24 service stamps all from Audi Main Agents or recognised quattro specialists. A Full Engine Rebuild with Re-bore. New Pistons and Shells is documented at 74202 miles which may explain why the car feels so fresh today.

Bodily the vehicle is in excellent condition has undergone our thorough cleaning process and has been thoroughly degreased and clay bar valeted to remove all traces of road tar and any surface contaminants. The paintwork has then been polished to a high standard and sealed with a quality carnauba wax. The car itself has no scuffs. scratches or annoying pin dents. The interior is one of the best I have seen and shows very little signs of any wear. The wheels are all in excellent order and carry the correct 215 Dunlop tyres all with excellent tread remaining. The carpets have been covered from new so remain as excellent condition as is the boot areas. The Car has the Original Leather Rimmed 4 Spoke Steering Wheel. This version is known as the flat front model which makes it rare and it also has a green illuminated Digital Dash which I am informed is also quite rare ( Voice Synthesiser is fully working ).

In the Eighties the Audi quattro took the motoring world by storm. being the first car to use a turbocharged engine in conjunction with four wheel drive. The quattro dominated the World Rallying Scene and positioned the car as the ultimate must have for any serious petrol head.

Dubbed UR the German for "Original" the UR quattro is tipped to rise in values by motoring pundits and represents a superb blend of practicality. capable performance and investment in the Classic Car World.

This example is surely rare in that it has escaped the trends of the era for roof mounted mobile phone aerials and screw holes in the dash and I am confident to say that this must be one of the best examples in existence and will no doubt give a future custodian a lot of pleasure in ownership of a beautiful well maintained car.
