I bought the car to convert it into a road rally car but I am at the point now where I am not sure I have the funds to get it to the spec I want it to be. The car has been painted by the looks of it in the last few years. and with a good machine polish would come up lovely. The car was a 1300 but I have taken that out and put a 1620 xflow in with a Kent 234 cam. Engine spec below as per the eBay ad:

32/36 twin choke down draught weber carb. manifold and k&n air filter.
mexico big valve head.
kent cams kc234 fast road cam.
ashley 4-2-1 large bore manifold.
alloy rocker cover.
starter motor.
aldon electronic ignition and non ballast blue performance coil.
recent bought high output alternator.
standard mexico crank with competition flat top pistons. [according to the engine builder but cannot confirm this?].
a. p. racing uprated clutch diaphram and friction plate.

I have also just put a brand new Sportex twin box exhaust system on it and it sounds great. Interior is nice and tidy as is the engine bay. I've listed the spec of the rest of the car below:

Capri bilstein front shocks and 190lb standard height springs
2. 5 quick rack with poly mountsTCA's with poly bushes
Large RS hubs with brand new wheel bearings.
Brand new M16 calipers with mintex 1144 pads
Brand new discs from Burtons
Braided front hoses
RBF600 brake fluid
Standard rear end.
Tax'd till end of November
12mths MOT
New round headlights with H4 bulbs
Vinyl roof in fine condition
Currently registered as a 1300 on the log book so would be up to the new owner to register the new engine.  

As I'm an honest seller. there are a couple of minor bad points:

New front windscreen rubber as it leaks slightly in the corner - I hope to fit this soon.
Temp gauge doesn't work so an auxillary gauge will need to be fitted.
Ignition key does not match door locks so a new lock set will be needed - I may do this if I get time.

Overall. the car is very usable and enjoyable to drive but with it being in such good condition. I am loathe to rally it. Happy for people to come look at it but the insurance runs out on 14th September. I am happy to answer any more questions or put up more photos if needed. I am in no rush to sell so no silly offers. if I don't get the sort of money I'm looking for then I'll keep the car and I'll just make slow progress with it.  

I'm after £3. 5k or serious offers. no p/ex considered.
