Please read this carefully. for I changed the offer. I guess I made it way too confusing. I'm sorry about that. Being offered today is a one owner. ALL original. and I mean ALL ORIGINAL. complete 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible 4-speed. Factory 389. 4 bbl.  Black top. black interior and marina red exterior. This offer is a bit different than before. This car is now being offered in its current condition. The ONLY stipulation is that you restore it to whatever condition you want with my company. You'll need to restore it anyway. why not have it done by me. So when you make your offer. please take that into consideration. You will be getting a completely restored. driver. concourse car. or a number 1 car if you wish. Watching it being restored at every stage. You will receive all receipts. My labor rate is very low. I make no money from the parts. The auction is for the car in its UNRESTORED state. The restoration is a separate charge which we can negotiate. The cost of which will depend on the level of restoration YOU want. You are under NO obligation to pay for the car if we cannot come to an agreement on the restoration. I'm that confidant in this car.      First my company: I have been restoring cars for 15 years. I started  because of my love for classic cars. I was an airline pilot at the time. I have since retired. I have done cars for people from around the world. All my  cars are show car winners. I mainly do GM. including two GTOs but have done a Ford or two.      Now for the car. Normally. people bring their cars to me. In this case. it belonged to my uncle who finally decided to let it go with the promise that it gets restored to at least factory new condition. My uncle ordered the car from the factory in 1964. It is a well optioned car. I have the PHS documentation. but that's a side note because I have the ORIGINAL window sticker! Along with the ORIGINAL sales receipt! Also. a letter from the dealership. to my uncle. thanking him for buying the car from his dealership. The original envelope with the post office cancelation stamp showing 1964 and the 5-cent stamp! I also so have the ORIGINAL owners manual with the ident-o-plate (protect-o-plate)!!!  Even the shifter ball is the original one. I even have the first insurance receipt for the car. This car is so original. it even has the leather strap attached to the rear window zipper. The rims have the original part numbers. As far as I can determine. this is a 1 of 1 car that had a black top. black interior and mired red exterior with a teneau cover. That's the cover that snaps into place over the passenger compartment if you can't get the top up. (I may have spelled it incorrectly. ) Even the jack is original!OPTIONS: back-up lights. transistor ignition. tach. under hood lights. under trunk lights. wooden steering wheel. tilt steering wheel. duel-speed wipers. power steering. seatbelt. safe-t-track rear axle with a 3:23 ratio. and more. This car even has the snaps along the dash and doors for the cover to protect the passenger compartment when it rains and the top will not go up. And. yes. I even have the original passenger compartment cover! Please try to understand that this could be a Jay Leno quality car if the new owner wanted it to be. If the car is not sold.  I will restore it myself. then it will be auctioned at Mecum or Barrett-Jackson auctions. This car has the potential. if the new owner wants it to be. to be a high dollar. serious car.  This car is being offered in other venues. so I reserve the right to remove this car from consideration up to the point where the reserve or offer is met or accepted. I'm sure you have questions. so please feel free to ask.  16313272303. Payment can be done in stages as the car progresses. A non-refundable down payment of $1. 00. 00 must be received with 2 weeks. With. the rest of the payment for the car within a month. Payment for the restoration can be made in 3 installments. Cash. certified checks or money orders ONLY!
