1976 Cadillac Eldorado

This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible is the last year of The Great American "Land Yacht"!!! 1976 was also the last year for this classic body style. and as we all know. it was all downhill from there!! As if that's not enough in itself. it came with the original (OEM) Fisher chrome "pimped out" package including the Rolls Royce style grill which makes it even more rare and COOLER!! I bought this car in 1996 from (yes. it's a cliche but entirely true!!) an older gentleman in his late 70s. His best friend had passed away about 6 months prior and he was bequeathed the car. I AM ONLY THE 3RD OWNER OF THIS CAR AND I WILL PROVIDE THE DOCUMENTATION SHOWING AS MUCH. It was a Sunday Driver most of its life as evidenced by the 9. 00 original miles it had when it arrived at my house in Los Angeles. Although it was originally purchased in Maine in 1975 (where it spent it's entire life up until it was shipped to me in California). it had always been lovingly garaged by the original owner. As such. there was absolutely NO EVIDENCE OF RUST usually associated with an east coast car. Truth is. they took much better care of this car then I did in the subsequent years I owned it. Sad to say. but I want to be 100% forthcoming about it's history up to date. The car currently has 21. 08 original miles on it which is still ridiculously low. It has always been my 3rd car and "Sunday Driver". The car has not been garaged since I have owned it. but it has always been covered. Los Angeles weather has been very kind to it. Here's what I have done to the car over the years: - replaced the convertible top - had custom seat covers made for the back seats to protect the original leather - installed modern over-the shoulder seat belts - installed an ALPINE stereo system. BUT NEVER DISCONNECTED THE ORIGINAL 8 TRACK PLAYER WHICH SHOULD FUNCTION IF IT IS RE-HOOKED UP AND GONE THROUGH. I purposely had the 8 track player kept in tact. - The car was never in an auto collision. but dId incur various dings and dents while parking (backing up predominantly!!). There have been minor repairs to the body and it has been repainted. The original color was computer matched from the original Cadillac "Cimarron Red" found under the hood and trunk. - I replaced the radiator and I rebuilt the air conditioning compressor. It was recently tuned and serviced and new brakes were installed. It is running well. Overall. this is a super cool vintage Caddy Eldo. the perfect project car for the right owner. It has great "Bones"!
