For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL. The SL name has always signified a certain level of quality and sophistication and the R107 model would be no exception. Introduced in 1972 year as a replacement for the W113 series. the 107 would make an unprecedented model run all the way through ‘89. For me. these cars bring back very fond memories of my grandfather teaching me to drive around the neighborhood in his 380SL when I was a child. which speaks volumes for the ease at which these cars can be piloted.

This ‘80 is a great example of an original well preserved 450SL. The exterior is finished in the classic Mercedes Silver with blue leather interior. With the front engine rear wheel drive design handling characteristics are not quite what you would expect. The ride is plush yet stiff with the just the right amount road feel making it an absolute pleasure to drive. Powering this exotic roadster is a torque filled 4. 5 liter V8 that is paired to a smooth shifting 4 speed automatic allowing this roadster to barrel down the road in a way that only a Mercedes can. The interior is exactly what you would expect from a Benz. There is enough high quality leather to cover three sofas with the bucket seats being as comfortable as they look.
