1983 Chevrolet C-10 Scottsdale

DVW will be moving into its new Arizona location in 45 days and must clear out some of the projects in line waiting for their resurrection/restoration.   This is 1983 350/350 chevy c10 swb is in its original paint. it is technically a 3 owner.   The truck came to DVW in Arizona with lots of work already done and some work to do to be a good road worthy truck.  
Chassis/Suspension: replaced last summer - polyeurathane chassis upper control arm bushings. springs shocks. 2 1/2" dual exhaust with cats to pass emissions. Gabriel premium shocks. front rotors/pads and rear drums/shoes. It has not seen over 100 miles since this work was done.
Engine/Drivetrain:  It starts up. runs smooth. no ticks tocks knocks or smoke or oil leaks. nbsp;and idles good.   The drivetrain is not stock and it has been obviously modified with a few bolt on items such as headers and valve covers.  Last summer the engine Heads were sent out. Quadrajet sent out and rebuilt. cylinders honed and rings. bearings. and timing chain/gears. new water pump. 4 core HD radiator. belts. plugs wires. new battery. battery cables. starter. fuel pump. fuel sending unit.  As stated is starts up runs good. no smoke. no leaks.
Interior:  Dash pad is sun beat and cracked. the gauges are not all working. the gas gauge is working but the speedometer and temp gauge are not working.  The speedo cable is not hooked up I do not believe.  the windows go up and down no problem and the doors open and close tight. the seat is not torn but it is stained. the headliner fabric is gone but the headliner base is recoverable. There is no radio. The heat and a/c are not connected. and the glove box lock is removed.
Needs: brake work - master cylinder likely.   The brakes are not really road worthy for normal people even though i drove it as is about 35 miles carefully and at 30mph or less. The trans linkage is out of adjustment and the shifter will not go into park. nbsp;it leaks trans fluid from the pan gasket. it is missing rear bumper trim various cosmetics inside/out. A/C heat are not hooked up.
This chevy is not be the show winner at all and needs some minor stuff but it may be perfect for that original patina style truck or your idea.   There are definably other trucks that appear to look nicer than this one with new paint and new LMC parts.    This truck is going to be for a few that appreciate the rarity of a original paint truck in this condition.  There is no question as to if there is any repaired rust or bondo under the paint.   It's typical valley original rust free with only patina rust and fair-ly straight everywhere body with exception behind rear driver side wheel. A blow out bent the metal over and it was fixed probably 30 years ago and then another blow out bent it again and cracked up the filler. Pics of the back of the panel. can see . no rust.
Wheels installed are 1975 Permacast slot mags CNC/Powdercoat restored with brand new tires - zero miles on them. They are not a cheap set but may not be your style. I can also see this one air ride slammed with some Detroit Steel Wheels.
You can buy the truck for a quite a bit less without the Detroit Vintage Wheel package if that is not your style and if you pay to have it shipped to you.   It is currently located in Tempe Arizona and will be shipped to Detroit on April 4th and available for pick up at the buy it now price. If someone in another state wants to buy it before it is in Detroit. the price is very negotiable. Please there is no warranty on the truck and its sold in as is condition. It is a project still and will need the above listed and possibly a few things more.
