For sale is my 1966 Skoda 1000MB.

The car was brought to the UK in 2006 by its previous owner; over the next couple of years it went through various stages of restoration including a re-spray and a full engine re-build as well as much of the bright work being renewed and the seats re-upholstered etc.   The car arrived in the country after being purchased from its original owner in Czech with around sixty four thousand kilometres showing on the odometer. it is now reached just under seventy thousand.

The car runs beautifully and is great fun to drive with its surprisingly nippy 1litre engine. It sailed through its MOT in June without even any advisories and is very solid throughout. It has the original engine so all the VIN numbers match.

The car has been seen at a number of shows and in a couple of classic car magazines since it's been in the UK and always gets a lot of  very positive attention. people just seem to love her! She is also a very rare sight with only a very small handful in the country (last time I checked the data base it showed just 10 with a current MOT!)  Spare parts though are still readily available and it's a very easy car to work on.

Whilst the car is in great condition it does. like most classics. still needs work doing to it: my next job was going to be to replace the head lining and vinyl trim.   You are more than welcome to come and have a look at her; I just don't want people turning up expecting a concourse vehicle. She is simply in lovely condition for a car that is 46 years old.

This is a very reluctant sale. but I am currently restoring another one and don't have the time or the space to look after both of them.

Hi Peter, as I see, the car is really nice reconstructed and some detail (electricaly operated wishers, seats and other details for sure) are not so important.
