1969 Pontiac Trans Am

400 Ram Air 3 “YW” code (Original #'s matching)         Turbo 400 (Original #'s matching)         3:31 Positraction rear (Original #'s matching)         White (parchment Interior)         Optional TRANS AM Steering Wheel         Optional In-dash Stack Tachometer and Gauges         Optional Air Conditioning         Optional Automatic TransmissionFull PHS documentation + a 2” binder with pictures. PHS letters and other historical documents

VIN number's on Dash. Engine. Transmission. Upper cowl panel. Lower firewall. PHS Buildsheet and Original Title all match.   I am not releasing the VIN number out of respect for the new buyer.

This is the real deal. It's not a clone. not a rebody. not a replacement drive train.   This is a fully documented 100% numbers matching. investment grade vehicle.

Rare does even describe this car.

1 of 697 Trans Am's produced in 1969.          1 of 114 with an optional Automatic Turbo 400 transmission.          1 of  9 with factory Air Conditioning.          1 of 1 with all of these options. with white (parchment interior) per other research.

Even rarer. this car is 100% numbers matching and retains its “born with” VIN number matching Engine. Transmission and rear end.   In fact. it also has its original distributor. service carburetor. alternator. wheels. etc. etc.   It has all the “hard to find” original unique items as well such as its original hood. rear spoiler. fenders. side air extractors. upper and lower Ram Air pans. plastic hood tunnels. T-3 headlights. radiator. etc.

Car was sold new at Stewart Pontiac Motors in West Palm Beach Florida.   Previous owner owned the car for 25+ years (they bought it from former owner in the late 1980's) and it remained in his enclosed garage in New York until I purchased the car a few years ago.   Car is in my warehouse in Los Angeles. CA.

We embarked on the restoration and accumulated many NOS and concours parts for the car but other matters have now taken precedence so we are offering this rare car for sale now. Feel free to submit your fair offer now before we complete the car ourselves.

If it is not sold at a reasonable price we will just complete it.  So. submit all Fair and Reasonable offers for consideration.

Here's what restoration work has been done thus far :

Fully disassembled. cataloged and pictures of every step of the tear down.   Every nut and bolt is in a labeled bag with pictures before. during and after the removal of every item. The entire body including the shell. doors. trunk lid. valance panel. hood. ram air pans. radiator support. front wheel wells. suspension components including a-arms. steering linkage. coil springs. sub-frame. rear end. leaf springs. driveshaft. etc (everything metal) has been gently media blasted and sealed with high quality PPG sealer.   All window mechanisms and other items that are supposed to be natural have been gently media blasted and left in the correct natural finish. Engine and transmission were taken out as a single unit.   Our removal was the first time these were taken out of the chassis since 1969.   All exhaust bolt locks were in place and the entire engine is untouched. Car had some rust on the floor and trunk pans and a few other typical spots so we purchased high quality correct gauge replacements that will need to be installed but are included.

New parts (too many to list. but here are the main items):

NOS Passenger full quarter panel (currently vehicle has a partial skin)         NOS Rear Tail Light panel (included but may not be need)         AMD front valance. full floor pan. trunk pan. trunk extensions. rear window ledge. left and right outer cowl panel covers.          New complete Parchment seat cover set. seat back panels. headliner. misc weatherstrips. emblems. etc.

1969 Trans Am's have been selling between $125K-$150K over the last few years.   Some have been #'s matching and some have not.   I have not seen another similarly equipped 1969 Trans Am with these options (Auto. A/C. Stack Gauges. T/A Steering Wheel. and White (Parchment) interior and 100% Numbers Matching cross the block previously.   My estimate is that this car could do $175K-$200K when completed.

Purchaser is responsible for pick-up and transportation.   Vehicle is sold in AS-IS condition in Los Angeles. CA and no warranties whatsoever are expressed either orally or in writing.   Feel free to contact me to schedule any inspections or to discuss the vehicle in greater detail.   Immediate deposit of $2000 is due within 24 hours of accepted bid.   Remaining payment is due in full via wire. cashier's check or cash within 72 hours of accepted bid.
