1985 Cadillac Seville

1985 Cadillac Seville Elegante. Original Collector Owned with 26K miles. With a lifetime of Extreme High Detail loving ownership and proper storage. this 85 Elegante is one of the nicest examples of an 85 Seville anywhere.   It has a 1985 datecoded set of original Royal Seal Tires on it.   This puts this car in a category that people strive for in restorations and pray to find on the open market.   However. if you think you found one "just like this" come park it side by side.    My father and I are is local collectors.   We have stored the vehicle at fellow collector Matt Garrett's climate controlled warehouse.    I have known Matt for many years.   I was very flattered he featured this car on his website.   For lots more pictures point your browser and visit Matt's website at: GM-Classics "dot" com

In case you are not familiar. the Seville was Cadillac's premium luxury sedan in 1985.   The slant back design is iconic and draws looks every where it goes.   The base Seville came standard with the tufted seats - very similar to it's two door cousin. the Eldorado - Biarritz edition.   Those wanting the top of the line - top of the line vehicle - opted for the Seville with the "Elegante" package.   The amenities included Tu-Tone paint.   "Doe Skin" soft leather seats along with a sporty console.   Of course. you get the Elegante badging so everyone knows its something special.  
Overall it is in excellent condition.    It does everything right and capable of being driven anywhere. With original R12 AC and still on a functioning original power antenna. this Elegante does everything the way one did in 85.   No quirks or hang-ups.   This car is featured on my website as well chairmanaviation "dot" com.    It is seriously a worthy comparison to some of the ultra low mileage Cadillacs I own.     The beautiful two tone Light Royal Blue/Dark Royal Blue is a welcome change to the more common colors in the Elegante.   Its a striking combination from every angle.   The weak link in these cars cosmetically is the rear tale lamps.   It is very hard to see a really perfect set in a car.   I would not say these are day one perfect. but really have not seen better.   They are so nice.    The interior is in great. great shape.   The steering wheel plump - not all dried out and nasty.   The door panels look fantastic.   The deep pile Elegante carpeting in excellent condition.
These cars are going up in value.   One doesn't necessarily need to store this away.   You could drive it a bit and enjoy it.   Conversely. park it in the garage and watch it appreciate in value.   Either way. its a nice addition to anyone's collection.
I urge you to retain someone locally and have them inspect the car.   A $500. 00 deposit is due immediately upon winning the bid.   Full payment is due 48 hours after auction close. so inspect before buying.   I cannot finance your purchase but financing is available from a credit union anyone can join.  (Contact me and I will put you in touch. )  The reserve is set at a reasonable number but I am not in any desperate mode to sell.   Its just time to thin out the herd a bit.
