1980 AUSTIN MORRIS MINI 95 PICK UP BLUE/WHITE

I am selling my 1980 mini 95 pickup. I have only owned this pickup for two weeks and bought it when I was working away and picked it up when I got home and drove it home 150 miles with no problem at all. I always wanted a pickup and now I have it I realise I have no space for it The wife was not happy with my purchase and no time with family commitments to carry out the work. Please see a copy of the advert below from the guy I bought it from. He only sold it as he needed a deposit for a new house. I bought the mini from a gentleman who had spent 15 years restoring it. He moved over seas once he retired so had to sell it. The restoration was completed and the mini put back on the road in July 2011. The shell was sandblasted to bare metal and fully repaired before it was painted pageant blue which I was informed was its original colour. how ever I have not researched this to verify. During the restoration the rear lights were replaced with lights from a ford transit. how ever I have the original lights if the buyer wishes to convert it back. The pick up is fitted with all its original running gear and engine. It's 848cc A series engine may not be the fastest but it is very reliable and has never let me down. Drum brakes all round are still fitted and the suspension is standard. The sub-frames are in great condition and along with the brakes have been painted yellow. 6x10 GB alloys are fitted and the tyres are like new with plenty life left in them. Cobra classic bucket seats are fitted to the interior and the previous owner made a custom dash which along side the original speedo houses a water temp gauge and an oil pressure gauge. Speakers are fitted in the dash and component speakers are fitted in the headlining. A clarion head unit and 12 discs CD changer is fitted as well as an amplifier which is hidden under the dash. The mini was MOT'd last week and passed first time with no advisories! the mileages for the past 3 mot's have been 35721 in 2011. 36758 in 2012 and 39578 this year. I do not know the true mileage but have an MOT from 1992 which reads 30896 miles. BAD POINTS The mini has a few bad points which are listed below. The passenger door is not a very good fit as shown in one of the photos. When shut it looks like it is slightly open still. This may be a simple fix and just need adjustment but I cannot guarantee this. The rear N/S panel has 2 small dents in it. I was told it happened when some luggage in the back moved during transit. The paint has a slight crack in one of the dents. These pick ups are becoming very rare now and this is a great example with a very solid shell with no corrosion and a great engine. I planned to restore the mini to original condition fitting the original rear lights. removing the plastic arches and fitting a pressed steel grille. It has a years MOT and is taxed until the end of sept. Cash on collection More pictures can be emailed on request.
