1972 Plymouth Barracuda

In the world of muscle cars. especially in the world of Mopar muscle cars. there is one word that gets the attention of all muscle car collectors and that word is Cuda. (the shortened version for Plymouth's Barracuda muscle car).   Yes we all know that in 1964. General Motors allowed the Pontiac Division to come out with the GTO. the really large production muscle car.   It was so popular that Chrysler had to come out with several of their own versions but none is more famous then the Cuda.   Certainly one reason for this is the absolutely beautiful design of the Cuda by 1972.   Also when it comes to interiors it is hard to find a more business like and attractive interior then the 1972 Cuda. which has bucket seats. a center console with shift in the console.   By 1972. Chrysler's Plymouth Division had fully developed its muscle car concept for the Cuda for both speed and style.  

Now for some information on the Cuda in this ad.

The second owner of this Cuda purchased this car 17 years ago from the original owner.   As you can see the Cuda in this ad is very striking with the red paint. white stripes and white vinyl top.   This Cuda includes the Rallye Package with the hood scoop and Rallye Wheels.   The car was repainted in 1999 and an N. O. S. white vinyl interior was installed but it retains the original white vinyl top.   Another interesting feature of the interior is the factory option 2 spoke steering wheel with original leather wrap.   If you have ever driven a Cuda with a larger displacement engine you know that they weigh down the front end a great deal and negatively affect the car's handling ability.   This car is equipped with the lightweight 318 c. i. dual 2 barrel hooked up to the factory 3-speed automatic and it also comes with Power Steering and it is a true pleasure to drive.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANTLY AND SOMEWHAT RARE THIS CAR COMES WITH FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING THAT BLOWS COLD.   You will be greatly reminded how much you are going to enjoy driving during the hot weather.  

Also. what every collector loves is a car with documentation and this car comes with extensive documentation including original broadcast sheet. sales invoice and window sticker!!!

The car was upgraded when new at the dealership with undercoating and also more recently with an upgraded electronic ignition.   The private seller says that there is nothing missing and believes that everything is working as you would expect.

We asked the private seller how far he has driven this car at one time and he told us he has driven it as far as 650 miles one way. over three mountain ranges and it has performed flawlessly!

So in summary if you are looking for a fantastic looking Cuda and you are not a direct descendant of the Rockefeller Family and can't afford a HEMI Cuda convertible for $2 or $3 Million Dollars – we are sure that you can get almost the same amount of enjoyment out of this fabulous Cuda in view of its extremely low reserve.   Everybody can bid and be happy they did.   Note the private seller has asked us not to reveal the reserve but in our opinion here at MissChiTown. the reserve is so low it might as well not have one.
