I bought this car as a running driving MK2 with a really good rust free body. Overall the car is nice and I intended to get straight on with a back to bare metal respray. I removed all the paint and had the car resprayed by local professionals here in Venice Florida. They did a nice job in base/clear Ford Ruby Red. It was not green originally. Based on what came off. I think it was cobalt blue. Before the car was painted I did the combes style rear fender mods.  This is done with rolled steel tubing welded to the original wheel spats that were trimmed back to get exactly the wheel arch I wanted. I planned to buy aftermarket wheels. so never did anything with the steelies. I also considered it an advantage to have bolt on wheels in this respect. Tires are good and the car could be driven on the existing wheels and tires if preferred. The heater box is out of the car and was disconnected. So some decisions to be made there. I was going to buy the aftermarket A/C kit as wife will never ride with me in the Florida heat in a non A/C car. Basically. I have run out of time and motivation with everything else I have going on. I cannot see me finding the time to put the car back together and make the mods I wanted to do. It needs all the trim put back on plus the interior parts that were removed to do a proper color change. I did buy a new complete rubber kit from Welsh Jag and a clip kit from XK's so they go with the car. I have all the trim pieces that came off the car. plus most of the interior. I couldn't say specifically if anything is missing. but it was complete when I started. The chrome bumpers are excellent. one or two of the other pieces may need re chroming. This car will be stunning when back together. Just look at the new cars in this metallic red color to get an idea. Combined with all the chrome that goes with a classic Jag it will be an eye catcher for sure.  The car can be driven onto a trailer. I will work with your shipper to secure all parts that go with the car if required. Check out the photos as they were taken today and give a real impression of what needs to be done to put this car back together.
