1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible.   Original Red with black top. interior and top. Numbers matching 383 Magnum.  Full rotisserie restoration!!!  Original dash tag. cowl stamping. inner fender tag.  Originally ordered with the black longitudinal stripe and chrome mirrors. A real head turner and one of the most desirable Muscle Cars in the world. one of just 1000 produced. This car was purchased by me in 2006 and restoration was started in 2007. After 4 years of being taken advantage of by 2 greedy body shops.  I am all done. The second body shop went under with one weeks notice and the shop owner refused to finish the car. It has been sitting untouched in my garage for almost 2 years. I have a 71 Cuda Convertible now and my attention is tied up with that.

This project is about 99% complete. but I no longer have the drive to finish it. I have spent approximately $60. 00 on over 1000 hours of body work and paint. $31. 00 was the original purchase price. parts were another $25. 00 and motor. transmission and dyno testing another $6. 00. There are numerous other transportation/ storage and other nonsense. Bottom line I have over $130. 00 into this vehicle. I spared no expense on this restoration as it was to be a permenant part of my collection. I know I can't recoup this money. but I will sell it for a reasonable price.  The work was absolutely top notch. but bills were padded and over a long period of time the project just got way out of hand. This car was built to be a show competitor and then a lifetime driver. Body was a Southern one and structurally was very good.   We have replaced the quarters. trunk. extensions. floor pans. fenders. hood. gravel shields and more. Partial list of replaced parts. New bumpers. professionally restored grill and headlight buckets. professionally restored steering column.  Reproduction tail light housings and lenses. Recovered seats with restored frames and bases. (temporarily in my 71 Cuda). nbsp;new rear panels. new top. new boot. well liner. pads. cables etc. We rebuilt the engine to factory specs. rebuilt the transmission. new torque converter. Front end completely rebuilt. Rear end was torn down and completely redone. along with new rear springs. shock and all hardware. All new fuel lines. break lines. disc break conversion to front. new master cylinder. carb. electronic ignition. fuel pump. alternator. nbsp;carburator etc. We replaced ALL the wiring. New front end harness. engine harness. dash harness. rear harness. New dashboard. ($1000) and guage overlays. nbsp;We spent over $1000 on powder coating. We had the heater box restored inside and out as well as the steering column. new mirrors. All convertible and windshield chrome was sent out and professionally buffed and polished. New 15 x 7 Rallye Wheels with new center caps. trim rings and tires. New carpet. aluminum trim. lenses and MUCH more!!

What the car still needs. -  Windshield plus all side glass and chrome trim need to be installed or preferably replaced with new. convertible top frame needs to be painted and top needs to be installed. Driveshaft. and full exhaust system.   Instuments need to be connected stripes need to be installed. Shifter linkage needs to be installed. Basically this car needs 2 weeks of light assembly and an exhaust system and tips.

Bottom line- If you want to have a 1970 Challenger R/T Convertible and be able to compete with the big boys without spending the next 3 years massaging a body into shape. this is the project for you. 2 -3 weeks and you can be on the road. This is a high value item so please do not bid if you cannot afford it. If you can't come to view the vehicle. have an inspector come out to see it. so there will be no surprises for you or me. If you have questions- Scott 978-855-2179 betweem 9AM and 10PM Eastern Standard Time!! This car is a STEAL!!!!
