Yes. I am selling my famous 1981 DeLorean DMC-12. It's one of the early models with the rare gas flap in the hood. As you know. DeLorean only produced the DMC-12 between the years of 1981-1983. with 9. 00 cars made during that short time. There are only a few thousand left in existence. but only a handful in this prime condition.
When I bought this DeLorean in 2010 with less than 1. 00 miles. it was considered one of the best originals in the world. having sat in a car museum for 30 years. I have kept up with all the maintenance. allowing solely the Wynne family and the official DeLorean Motor Co. in Orange County to service the vehicle. Both front and rear fascias were repainted last month. along with new seals along the door and roof. My car sits housed inside a garage in Los Angeles and is driven once a week to keep the car in shape.
There are only 8. 00 miles clocked on the car. Because of its rarity and quality. my DMC-12 has been placed in car shows. TV commercials (Samsung). photoshoots (DUB Magazine). and music videos - the most famous being the Beastie Boys' final film. “Fight for your Right (Revisited)” before Adam Yauch's passing. Will Ferrell. Jack Black. Elijah Wood. Seth Rogen. and the Beastie Boys were all filmed inside the car. Other friends and celebrities who have driven inside the vehicle include Olivia Munn. Holly Madison. Die Antwoord. and Chromeo.
In 2016. my car was the subject of the official DeLorean commercial that went viral. thanks to coverage by Road & Track. Motor Trend. and Business Insider.
