For sale is a low miles. original. rust free. 1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler. I have owned this vehicle since 1986. and it currently has only 49. 13 original miles on the odometer. It has spent it's entire life in California and Arizona. and has always been garage kept. The Jeep is loaded with factory options including the 6 cyl. motor. 5-spd manual transmission. power steering. power brakes [front disc]. chrome bumpers. chrome mirrors. chrome grill. chrome wheels. optional 20 gal. fuel tank. extra gauges including clock & tachometer [both work ok]. carpeting. side steps. leather wrapped steering wheel and grab bar. tilt steering wheel. and Trac-Lok rear axle. It has a hardtop. and full metal doors.

The paint and stripes are all original. and in good condition for a 30 year old vehicle. The stripes on the top of the hood. are the only place showing some age. There are no dents. and the vehicle has not been in an accident in the 27 years that I have owned it. The original owner had said that it was accident free when I bought it. and I see no signs to doubt that. The original wood rails are still installed on the vehicle and in good condition. They could probably use a little sanding and a fresh coat of polyurethane as recommended for periodic maintenance. When is the last time you saw original wood rails on a Scrambler? In the interior. the carpets. seats. door panels. and all glass is original and in good condition with the exception of one small split in the driver's seat that is repairable.

Everything is original on the Jeep except for the radio and of course wear items like tires and battery. A winch [Ramsey 6000] was added many years ago. I took it to a Jeep Jamboree about 10 years ago. and they required tow hooks. so they were added. but never used. She had a full tune up including carburetor rebuild in the last 500 miles. and runs great.

I have the original build sheet. owner's manual. and maintenance guide that came with the vehicle. This Scrambler is the ultimate survivor:  a low mileage. unmolested Jeep with many options that has spent its whole life in the rust free southwest.
