1968 Triumph TR250. 4 speed with Overdrive. Moto-Lita wood steering wheel. 60 spoke chrome wire wheels. Coker/Michelin red line tires. Surrey Top with glass window. soft & hardtop plus all fasteners (Surrey Top not installed on car). Very Good to Excellent Robbins Top on the car. Boot cover & tonneau cover in trunk. Boot cover is in excellent condition. Signal Red car. with black interior and black top. Paint is in very nice condition. Motor was completely rebuilt Aug 2016 with only 200 break in miles so far Rebuilt heavy duty rear shocks- Apple Hydraulics Rebuilt brake booster. new brake master cylinder and most brake lines replaced New splined hubs New Moss seat kit with new diaphragms. black with white piping in Vynide 4- wheel alignment done in the Fall New speedometer cable & tachometer cable New 2- eared knock-off's. (Octagon safety knock-off's included) British Heritage Certificate I bought this car in Wisconsin. but the British Heritage Certificate says it was originally delivered with US specs to Germany. it spent time in Florida. before coming to WI. This car is rust free and was Ziebarted early on. It has one repaint in Signal red. but was never restored. The British Heritage Certificate does not match the motor number which is an earlier TR250 motor number. I can only speculate but my guess is it was bought by a US GI in Germany. He may have blown up the original motor and brought it back to the dealership where an early TR250 motor was installed. In the interest of full disclosure I wanted to point this out. Everything else on the BHC matches the car. This was not an Overdrive or Surrey Top car. Those were added later. This car is not perfect. but very close! Minor 2- inch crack on dash pad (new dash pad included). some poor touch up paint applied to rear part of left front fender. minor tear in vinyl on dashboard support bracket. This car drives well. goes straight down the road. The motor is strong and should get stronger as it gets some more break in miles. The transmission shifts well and overdrive works very well. (Someone cut down the overdrive stalk so that it is like a toggle switch. in the correct place by the turn signals. This does not affect the function. ) The only thing better than this car for a TR250 enthusiast would be an original low mileage car or a car with a recent every nut and bolt restoration. This car is priced below what those cars are bringing on wilsonmotorco. com but it has more accessories with chrome wire wheels. overdrive. Surrey Top and Moto-Lita wood steering wheel. I would love to keep this car but I have 2- other sports cars. and my daily drivers are outside and my Wife wants her garage space back.
