Over the years I have accumulated hundreds of parts--almost all the parts--- to convert a 6 cyl 111 Mercedes coupe into a 3. 5--using either a 3. 5 engine. or a 4. 5 engine with 3. 5 heads for over 300HP--the ultimate driving machine! This includes a solid 111 complete 220SE car. and 95% of all items needed to covert.   You will end up with a custom 111 Mercedes Coupe with a special built 4. 5 engine with 3. 5 heads and cams that puts out 300 hp---over 60 hp than a stock 3. 5! And includes a rare V-8 Mercedes standard 4spd transmission with all components! Also includes the 3. 5 cooling system. brakes. chrome wheels. etc. . etc. . etc. Note that presently I will not sell the car or parts separately.

1) First you start with the included solid 111 coupe.
A complete 1963 220SE Mercedes coupe with solid floor pans and frame members. See more info on this car way below.

2) Then a 4. 5 liter engine bottom end (block. crank. rods) with 3. 5 pistons. 3. 5 hi compression heads and 3. 5 more radical cams. This puts out about 300 hp or more. A stock 3. 5 (they are hi compression) puts out only 235 hp. and a stock 4. 5 (all are low compression) is only 230 hp.
Included: a 1971 previously running 3. 5 engine from a 1971 350SL--this is a real 3. 5 engine. not a 4. 5. Engine has only 71K miles (had wiring harness fire. car stored outside for years. engine needs partial disassembly and cleaning).
Included: a hi miles 1971 4. 5 liter engine from a 280SE sedan.
Included: a rebuilt later 70's 4. 5 engine from a 450SL that was not completely assembled (sat in car port. needs disassembly and cleaning).

3) Then a rare V-8 4 speed manual transmission.
Included: a genuine Mercedes V-8 4 spd transmission from a 1971 350SL with only 71K miles. Includes all manual transmission components including 107 and 108 clutch and brake pedal assys.

4) Brakes. wheels and tires. Update front brakes with vented rotors and wider calipers. and firewall mounted later brake booster assy. And some nice 14 inch wheels and tires.
Included: new front rotors and calipers--still in the boxes. Also included new rear brake calipers for caliper brake rear end. Also included 2 later brake booster assys that mount on firewall--one from the 71 350SL. and one from a 280SE sedan. Also included a set of 5 chrome early style bundt alloy 6 1/2J x 14 H wheels. center caps and the longer bolts. and a set of matching tires with 95% tread.

5) Injection system with the brain to be mounted to one side of radiator.
Included: complete ele injection system from the 1971 350SL. including a recently rebuilt injection brain. Also included the wiring system and ele components from a 109 300SEL 3. 5 sedan that mounts to one side of radiator.

6) For cooling. the updated 3. 5 V-8 radiator and oil cooler.
Included: a 3. 5 radiator and oil cooler. and front V-8 crossmember that is dog-legged for more air flow (from a 71 280SE 4. 5 sedan). Includes the entire core support.

7) You may want electric windows.
Included: a complete ele window system with regulators. wiring. and switches from a later 114 250C coupe. Some fitting required.

8) You will want a better exhaust system.
Included a low miles stainless steel exhaust system from a 1971 350SL. This is real stainless. a magnet will not stick to it.

9) Many other items included: a rear end assy from a 1971 280SE 6 cyl (you may want to do better by getting a rear end from a 4. 5 sedan). Also includes V-8 cooling fan and clutch. ele aux cooling fan and mounts and V-8 air cleaner. For left side of trunk lid. a 280SE badge and for right side your choice of either a 3. 5 or 4. 5 badge. Also includes the later left outside rear view mirror and inside mirror. Also includes the 280SE center tray for mounting ele window switches (modification required for floor shift). steel brake lines. and later 3. 5 coupe sun visors. Also nuts. bolts. washers and lots of 3. 5 coupe fotos for reference. Also a set of 3. 5 coupe low grille front fenders. (sorry. no other low grill parts).
More info and fotos available.

INFO ON THE COMPLETE 220SE COUPE: A great barn find. For last 20 years this California car has been inside under a tarp. Has manual sun roof that works. and matching fog lamps with plastic covers. 4 speed manual on the floor. and original keys.

Car is complete. tho more assembly is required. Car has very little rust--only rust thru is only a few square inches at front and at rear. bottom side. of each rocker. left end of front crossmember. and a few inches of each "banana" (located on front inner fender panels just forward of front tires. All interior floors are nice! Both trunk sumps are nice and original. Trunk floor is nice!

Engine: I was told engine/tran was removed to fix the engine. then engine was put back in but installation was not completed. I pulled the valve cover to inspect and it is obvious it recently had head work cuz it is very clean and cam is perfect with no scoring. Engine turns by hand. I installed a battery and did a compression test (without oil squirted in): 150. 130. 150. 150. 145. 155.
Then I squirted some gas into the intake and it fired up with NO loose rods. I did notice that the timing chain was loose due to no oil in tensioner sump. I noticed that the oil pressure does not come up and that only half of the cam was getting oil. so it needs filter checked to see if it was put in correctly. or at the worst an oil pump. If you want to keep engine and trans for future originality. fine. If you want it removed I will do so at no charge (I keep them. )

There are several boxes of parts that go to the car. including a vintage AC system. What parts you do not see in place on car is in these boxes: radiator. AC condenser and evaporator. seat padding and covering. chrome for rear window. inner rocker chromes. door panel. door parts. a nice center wood tray. etc. If any part is missing I will furnish if I have as I have a huge selection of MB parts in stock. The complete floor shifter assy is there except for the knob.

I took a magnet to the car and it does have minor bondo in a few places. and a large bondo area in right quarter panel--it was cracked so I pulled the bondo off and rust treated the raw metal. I also rust treated all surface rust areas on exterior of car.

3. 5 V-8 engine: will have dry compression test soon.
V-8 4 spd transmission: I have pulled the cover for inspection. Drained fluid was very clean and still ATF. Absolutely no loose bearings nor chipped teeth. All syncros have plenty of meat on them. and no tapering of syncro teeth or teeth next to them. Transmission has only 71K miles. The last foto is the odometer of the 350SL that the 3. 5 engine and V-8 4spd manual transmission was removed from.

Regarding VIN#.   Like some states did back in the 60's was to make up their own VIN by using the model number. then the digits of the build number.   Thus with this car. on the California title. it is 220SE036041.   The VIN off the frame is 111-021-10-036041.

Regarding Mileage.   Since these cars do not have a 100. 00 digit. I can only tell you what it shows on the odometer. which is 29. 55 KM.   Since the car has been off the road at least 20 years. I would guess it to be 129. 55 KM. but I cannot be sure as I have no records of cars previous running history or maintenance.

I prefer buyer picks up all items here near Portland. Oregon.   I can box up the small items for shipping. but not the engines.   Crating them would be additional fees. please inquire.   Note that most car haulers will not hall additional engines. but I do have a shipper with a big truck and trailer than can haul all in one load.   For price please inquire with your address.

Will not accept bids from bidders with less than 10 feedbacks.

Will not consider any low bids until auctions end.   And will not consider any bid under $14K.

Also. $2. 00 due as deposit within 24 hours by paypal. with balance due within 72 hrs.

Thank you.
